1. No, we can't, and I shall ban you on the spot if you do.
  2. U2 copying bits from Zoran Predin's song Okupatorka (OK, that might be harsh, but I always wanted to start singing the wrong lyrics at the beginning of City of Blinding Lights ):

And another one, U2 copying Pink Floyd, the melody is reminiscent to Moment of Surrender:
  3. The "Touch me" bit sounds a lot like "The Sun Always Shines On TV" by Aha

  4. Only if we can talk about how THOM YORKE has (and he's admitted) to imitating Jeff Buckley's vocal style. True story.

Also we can talk about how Matt Bellamy imitates Thom Yorke's vocal style

  5. What? Why not?

Name another singer closer in vocal style to Yorke than Bellamy.

  6. Because you already ruined one topic with it and this is about music style, guitar etc not singers. ↲Bye bye

  7. You won't stop, will you? Matt has so much more agression in his voice and gets so much louder. Are you gonna accuse everyone who sometimes sings with a falsetto of copying Yorke? Damn you, Chris Martin, it's not just Bono you immitate.
    Get on with it.

Ok, I read the OP and you have a point there - the thread does seem to be about comparing songs.

Well, this topic isn't about voices and such, kinda silly for someone to bring that up. If we were really going to argue that, then I'd say that you'll have to sing to me Barbara Ann entirely in falsetto. Have fun!

I'm not very good at singing falsetto so I wont argue with that

Way to take a fantastic riff and use it in a shit song. Did CP actually agree to this?

So does anyone think Discotheque aped Begging You ?

I don't see that much similarity, except from the music videos which are both wacky
