True, but I wouldn't use that as a good example. Bono said that because he was serious about hating the revolution, not to get people to notice. I read an interview that said the only reason he turned around and went back to the mic after that was because he didn't want everyone to be cheernig solely because he said "fuck"- he wanted people to remember his POINT, not that word. If you watch the DVD, after he says that, he starts to walk away, then changes his mind.
  4. I'll show you a place, with no sorrow or pain

Bono at Slane Castle during Streets, obviously for his father.

  6. Burning like fire, I was burning inside her

Gotta love pervert Bono. Same goes for Desire.

And a woman needs a man, like Clayton needs a handicam, trying to throw his bass around the world

    Legendary.

  7. I love that one.

    Others for me include:

When I was all fucked up
    Ultraviolet

All the promises we make, and break, from the cradle...
    All I Want Is You

    With a red guitar.....sometimes vanilla!
    Desire

Have you come here for fogiveness, well I can't raise the dead
    One

Have you come here to play Jesus, I did
    One

But I can dance, dance, dance in the dirty rain
Where The Streets Have No Name
  8. Can't believe I didn't see this topic last year. I'm going with Casper on this one:

"I'll show you a place with no sorrow or pain, where the streets have no name"

Particularly meaningful to me....I shed a tear or two to that Slane DVD rip several times when I was lying in my hospital bed, paralyzed in 2008.

  9. I really like this lyric change, just great!
Also the rap in Moment of surrender is a nice addition!
  10. ^ i second the rap vote.
  11. There are so many amazing ones, but one more uncommon that has not yet been mentioned is the break intro of Elevation from Helsinki 2010-08-21;

    "Love
    Lift me up...
Won't you tell me... what to do...
I need some instructions, from you...
    ...
    ....
    Seriously!"
