1. Despite being sick at not being there, Im now very excited by this.

Another major defining moment beckons I think!!

  2. your not wrong! i've said it before and i'll say it again - as far as U2 goes this is going to be the most exciting and interesting couple of hours for as long as i can remember...

i haven't been as excited and nervous about watching a live performance on tv since pink floyd at live8...

  3. Don't know if anyone has touched on this, but im quite curious to see how Bono will handle the confinements of a normal stage? no catwalks no hearts no 360. To my knowledge he hasn't had these restrictions since the joshua tree tour, and that had extensions either side that glasto hasn't. Could be very interesting.

    Live 8.
  5. chance for what?
  6. To show the Glasto moaners how shit hot they really are

  7. Too prove that they might actually still be decent rather than tacky irrelevant cash cows. Or something similar.

  8. i'm poised and ready for the disappointment i've come to expect from them these days... (regular 360 setlist and ANY amount of preaching from you know who will be enough)

god do i ever hope i'm wrong though.........................

    Thanks for remembering that

And I have to say that, in my opinion, this show is going to be the U2 show of the year

  10. Well, the concert is longer, ok, but the behaviour (or whatever you wanted to say) must be more or less the same, doesn't it? They performed 3 or 4 songs if I recall right, no big difference with 22 or 24... Bono shown back then that he actually can perform in a non-U2-ish stage
