1. yeah it was gona be the highlight of my year and i was only going to be watching on tv...!

  2. I think they can play Glasto on 25th and then restart the 360 tour on Minneapolis on June 27th, it makes sense and fits with the rumours of the trucks heading up to Minn.
  3. I agree with Sergio, there's a good 4-5 weeks recovery there I'd say.

  5. Dizzee To Replace U2 As Glasto Headliner?

    After Bono injures his back…
    12:11, Monday, 24 May 2010

Dizzee Rascal has reportedly been asked to headline Glastonbury Festival next month if U2 are forced to pull out. On Friday it was revealed that Bono needed surgery on his back and that their appearance on the Pyramid stage may be in doubt.

The Irish group have already cancelled some US tour dates as the singer gets treatment in Germany. Now The Sun reports that Dizz’ could take their place top of the bill on Friday June 25. The paper also says that Glasto farmer Michael Eavis has put in a call to Coldplay- who have headlined the event twice before. Either way Dizzee will definitely be playing at the Somerset festival. He’s currently confirmed as second on the bill below U2.

In related news Professor Green has said he wants Lily Allen to join him on stage at Glastonbury. His new single Just Be Good To Green features the LDN star- who has been going to the festival since she was a kid. Pro’ told the Daily Star: “"I’m hoping Lily will come out and join me at Glasto but you didn’t hear that from me. It really depends what state she’s in, as I’m performing on the Sunday.”

Now this does come from The Sun so you'd better take it with a note of caution - however, Dizzee Rascal should not be forced upon the Glastonbury crowd...
  6. ^ no fucking way, Dizzee Rascal is the biggest step down from U2.
  7. Oh dear. Why don't they use Snow Patrol or something to replace U2? At least their lyrics actually make sense, unlike Dizzee Rascal's lyrics.

  8. Saw a show of his on BBC and thought ''Wow, so this is what people like now. Good fucking grief.''

I have the perfect replacement act for those whinging fuckers who don't want U2. Presenting...

I challenge you all to download his album (legally of course) and listen to it right through.
  9. if U2 don't make glasto i would be seriously upset but i don't see why people are getting so upset about dizzee rascal... so it's not your or (particularly) my kind of music but that doesn't mean i cant see that he's got sh*tloads of talent and i'd actually be pretty interested to see how he dealt with a headline set at glastonbury if (god forbid) U2 can't make it..

if the worst case scenario did happen and if i WAS going to be there i'd rather watch something new and potentially interesting over some U2-lite band like coldplay or the god awful, wettest band on earth, snow patrol...

(sorry to all the coldplay and snow patrol fans...!)

I bet it's like listening to an Alvin & The Chipmunks album, only worse.
