1. ...to listen to all available U2 bootlegs so far. I have this idea for a long time now and I'd like to start with it. Now I think it will take more than two years (up to now there are 1136 shows), of course there will be more shows in the coming time.

Of course I will also write a review for each show. Now, has it already been done by somebody else? If yes, how long did it take for him/her?

Also tips/tricks are very welcome... is it for example a good idea to listen to the shows in order of time or should I pick bootlegs randomly?
  2. I'll write you a blank cheque if you don't burn out.

Didn't a member try to go through all of the Elevation shows before and get bored fairly quickly?

I've got a tip for you - find yourself a girlfriend
  4. There are some really crap bootlegs. Its possible ofcourse. But fun? I doubt it.

I wouldn't go by date. Really boring. Maybe a show from each tour at a time.

Buy 'U2 Live - A Concert Documentary' instead. The book is THE bible for U2 fans. Was compiled pre Internet too - a fantastic acheivement

excellent idea. I suggest reading Pimm's book though instead and going and downloading any shows that prick your ear.

for God's sake, don't go by date else you'll die of boredom. the setlists are too samey to do that without it getting dull, particularly in the early years.

I'll salute you if you actually make good on this.

Anybody know if there is an up-dated edition of that book to include the elevation and vertigo tours?

  9. I think the most up-to-date version includes Elevation. Pimm sadly passed away before that edition made the print.
  10. I know it's kind of illegal ... but check on my blog , you can find a pdf format of Pimm's Book
    ....
  11. Dieder, with all due respect, but I think that's mad.

Maybe a fun way of spending your time when you're in prison but no..I guess you have better things to do. Credits though if you succeed but I highly doubt that.

  12. It's not that I have to listen to 10 shows a day, I just can listen one every day or so.

Ok, so if (if!) I'm going to do this I won't go by date.

Okay, so I have to commit a crime

Serious, I also think it's mad. I already listen a lot to U2 every day (have to travel 1.5 hours every day) so that's not really the problem. They only problem is gonna be the crap quality of some bootlegs and writing the reviews + not getting bored of U2.

I have it already, will be really helpfull I guess!
