Hello everyone...I happen to find this topic very interesting..I was wondering how many Sounboards exist that you know of or heard of that have not yet gone into full circulation..If you do know of any, please post which ones you've heard of...I'm assuming some these recordings remain locked in inner circles, but you think they will ever just say what the heck, let's let all U2 fans enjoy these recordings...!

  3. Yeah, I forgot to also mention if anybody knows of any pro-shot video's that hasn't gone into full circulation....

    The Denver show would be sweet, I'm guessing it would be black and white...? Man, a color pro-shot arena show from the Joshua Tree would be amazing..!!

    The holy grail of course would be a complete Lovetown pro-shot show!!!

  6. Both Syracuse and Los Angeles are stadium, not arena

    And by the way, both suffer from the exact same lack of audience sound and warmness.

    So they are!

    But you have to say they're pretty damned good. I like it without the audience as well.

    Exactly, those are stadiums shows and not great qualty..Great performances and picture but the lack of audience make them sound really awkward..I can deal with a soundboard recording without an audience, but a video I can't..I'll take the official release Paris outdoor show, that has an overall great sound and performance...

    The indoor arena shows have this sort of different ambience to them that's hard to explain but enjoy them very much..That is why I wish a color pro-shot existed...Sometimes I wish they would have shot the Rattle and Hum film in color...

    Disagreed there. I think that the black and white filming adds a loooot to the overall feeling of Rattle ad Hum. The only part of the movie that I would have left coloured is Streets (just because the red screen), but for the rest of the movie, it could be entirely b/w and I'd like it equally (or more).

    And yes, Drew, LA and Syr are both great shows, but not great video bootlegs. A concert is live, and live means audience. If you don't have audience, it's like playing in studio. No live feeling. Therefore, I don't like both concerts very much, bootleg-wise talking. They both have great picture quality and both (specially LA) have great performance and attitude by the boys, but... they lack something. The spark.
  10. I was at the LA Coliseum shows in 1987. I can say the shows were both amazing. And while the video that is out there is cool to have, it didn't come close to capturing the gradueur of that show.

    LA's crowds are always fantastic, they surely were too during the Joshua Tree. Moreover, the shows themselves were great for sure, that is captured in the bootlegs!
  12. To go back to the subject:
    I'd like a master DVD of Edmonton 1997. Current versions are 2nd or 3rd generation VHS tapes that have mono audio feed. There must be a better version out there with a stereo sound.
    Even the 2CD "Amazing Grace" is not very good of quality. The only audio feed that is worth listening (because it's such a damned good show in full STEREO) comes from the VideoCD. I lost the CD's, I asked if anyone good seed them over here, but so far, no luck. The VideoCD has a different audio track than the Edmonton DVD's. Trust me on that.
