thought I'd share my experience getting GA for Moscow from this morning ...

used my horizon code for a single GA for moscow .... as payment did not go trough, I tried again, and again , and ended up with three orders for a single GA each and none of the orders could get paid ...
the cc system was down it seemed ..

also .. they DONT send tickets outside of russia ....

they sell vouchers, which is basically a final order number, that you get after the order is processed, combined with your credit card it should get you your ticket, but you need to collect the final ticket between the 21st aug and 25th aug at the headoffice of kassir.ru in moscow, that is the company that handles the sales .... or ticketoutlets are also possible I believe ....
I called them to see what and how with my three orders, payment and u2.com code ...
within 20sec I was put trough to english speaking lady, who very hard tried her best ...
she told me to wait for email ... great service, and she told me if it did not work, please call back cause they really want to sell me the ticket .... ha ha ...
then she called back 3 hours later .... yep .... they callled me from russia !!! service huh !
they had to cancel my order, that was easiest solution, the problem with cc payment was fixed .. and please if I could order again ...
so I did ... and this time payment went trough ....
even send them email asking for final confirmation cause I had not seen such a thing .... they quickly mailed back saying they can see tomorrow if payment has been received .... then they will mail me ..

so .. that was all I could do .... for now ..... see ya in moscow .... hopefully .... ha ha

Glad I didn't went that way after all, sounds not so good they don't send out of Russia.

Had a similar experience as toysfornoise during public presale on Friday. Tried a dozen times. None of my cc payments went through. Always got the message that "authorization failed". Didn't bother to call Kassir.ru so I called the cc hotline of my bank. They said that they couldn't see a single request for such a payment let alone one had been rejected. Weird. In the end I emailed them and described my problem. No reply yet.

Saturday morning I gave it one last try and guess what: payment went through perfectly. Ordered this ticket with a different email address/user account. Now I have one account with a proper order (I guess) and another one with a dozen orders with failed payments stating that tickets have been issued.

I assumed those will be canceled.

Still I'm not 100% sure whether I really have a ticket. Will either wait for a confirmation via email or keep my screenshot with the payment and order confirmation and hope that my cc will be debited.

As soon as I know for sure that my order is confirmed I will let you know.

BTW I'm glad that nowadays even non-Russian people can buy concert tickets. In 2005 I would have loved to see Phil Collins in either St. Petersburg or Moscow but you couldn't order tickets without a russian postal address. There was no will call option either. So next August will be my first time in Russia and Moscow. Really looking forward to it!

EDIT: Just got a message from Kassir.ru. Obviously they know about the cc payment problems. Only solution is to try it again and again until it works. My last attempt to order tickets was finally successful.
