*Sorry if there is such a topic, but I couldn't find a discussion on the Boy album?

For a long time I pretty much ignored this CD and "I Will Follow" was the only song I really liked on it. Over the summer in preparation for seeing the boys live I really got into their back catalogue and got into some of the songs on Boy. While I still think it's their second worst album (third worse if you count Passengers) I'm really really starting to like some of the songs on there. My favorites right now are "Out Of Contol" and "Stories For Boys" (which I really got into when I got the Vertigo DVD over the summer and recognized the snippet in the song). "Out Of Control" has been in my head all week since I popped in "U2 Go Home" for something to do. I love that rendition where Bono introduces each of the band members and the band as well as the song as if this was back in '79 and they were just starting out. I like this version a lot, but I'm also falling for the album version. I'm kind of feeling a little frustrated/stuck with my life and current existance right now and I feel the songs on Boy speaking to me for some reason... I can hear the frustration and the hopes and dreams in those songs... anyway I just wanted to express my feelings on this album and these two songs especially.
