1. Anyone can point me in a direction which people to ask for ftp uploads...

Is there an ftp-community (like with ABMS for Bruce Springsteen or ABME for Elvis boots)?

I would have four or five shows that I would love to download there...

    Happy to hear from you

Best wishes to all and a great holiday time

    Ralf
  2. There is the U2hub. A DC++ hub, which has all stuff imaginable

Its a P2P community and speed is generally slow. So you'll need lots of patience

I think for the hub you need 5GB of non-released U2 tracks or videos, so if you've got a DVD or a few lossless bootlegs you should be good. Haven't been up in ages but I might take a look again. I found some amazing stuff that I'd never heard before. Not too hard to set up but it can be a pain learning all the new terms and tips and tricks you pick up.

Plus there's heaps of hubs out there for other bands as well.

I tried to get Usenet working and did have it going, but I've since forgotten how it works.

Usenet is great, but there is just not much material compared to the u2hub. But its very fast. You can download with all your available bandwidth

DC++ is harder to use than usenet though. And Dc++ is free but a decent usenet provider costs 10 USD a month
  5. is U2hub still active? My username has not been approved since weeks...

  6. Still active, it took a while with my username as well. But a new world opens when you are able to connect

Its a small community, but some have an U2 collection of >2TB, worth the wait. Although for new stuff its easier to use this site or U2Torrents. Because speeds on the hub are low.

For stuff not available here, complete DVDs, alternative sources, the u2hub is a better choice
  7. U2hub is very slow. I've waited two month to get my account-keys.
  8. Try to email the 'owner'. He just needs to accept your account then you are good to go.
  9. He mentioned some problems recently about the Hub, but if you can get in touch with him he's quick to get on problems and hopefully get you approved.

Can you tell me HOW to get in touch with him? Contact formular on the website?

  11. PropagandaU2 is the admin of the site and hub - he has a Twitter I also noticed so if you have a Twitter you can direct message him there too. I also have not yet replied to your PM - I meant to the other day - but I don't actually have those shows or videos you're after, and I'm on dial-up at this moment so you can imagine just how long it takes to upload even 10MB!!!

    On the U2hub:

    http://www.u2hub.com/index.php?option=com_contact&Itemid=173

    http://www.u2hub.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=447&Itemid=74

Also, take a look at iwillfollowu2.com - he is very helpful over there (that's a whole other site) and I should go over and see what they're up to, 'cos I haven't for ages.
  12. Good luck on iwillfollowu2 with your dialup. One of the slowest loading u2 sites on the web

They have a decent amount of high speed downloads though
