1. ok so i was just messing about with the pitch etc on my laptop while i was listening to U2, City Of Blinding Lights live, and i thought to myself how much better this song sounds in higher pitch, so i tried some other songs and found i like alot of other songs better in higher pitch, same tempo just higher pitch.

but city of blinding lights is my favourite.

anyone else tried this? what songs have you found?

    or even lower pitch?
  2. Its fun to do so once in a while, but never found it improving the songs.

Only guitar wise it sounds somewhat extraterrestrial sometimes
  3. Try Lemon 3 or 4 semitones higher xDDDDDD

  4. Easy on the helium

A slightly higher tempo and pitch (around 2-4%) improves Bono's voice. Less noticeable cracks and skips. To bad the rest of the band sounds like crap like that
  5. I don't think that changing tempo, speed or pitch improves anything. It can be VERY funny, ok (even useful, when you're playing guitar and you need the song to be in a certain pitch or tuning)... But not an improvement at all, imo. It changes the essence of the song, which is a piece of art in its own. It's like making a photo of a beautiful painting of a museum, and then photoshopping it...

Of course, i did say it sounds like crap. Only Bono's voice is a bit more smooth.

what program did you use to change the key?

  8. Some mediaplayers have support for 'DSP plugins', there are DSP plugins that change the pitch on playback. It doesnt modify the files and you can turn it on or off when you want.

I know it exists for Winamp and foobar2000
  9. what about...for mac? lol
  10. Does Nero work in Mac's?? In case it does, Nero WaveEditor can change the pitch of a song with 2 clicks, and later save that song as a separate file. Useful when you need a song to be a bit lower or higher
