This video claims to be a rough demo of it. I have no idea where the guy got it from or what, but it does sound similar to how Bono sounded on some of the Salome taps and over outtakes.

Yeah, it definitely sounds unusual for Bono, but he's sounded quite similar on other bootleg recordings of demos (for example, Laughing in the Face of Love on the Axtung Beibi bootlegs.) So while I realize it's unlikely, I think there's still a chance this is legitimate.
