Katrina was something completely different. Yes tragic, but it was it's own event, that had it's own fundraiser, and it's still ongoing. But how much is it still talked about? It was a hot topic, the celebs had their say, and everyone moved on with their lives. I fear the same will happen with Haiti....I pray it doesn't, but if history is any example of peoples responses to tragedies in recent years, that's what's gonna happen. But bottom line, this is Haiti, not Katrina.
And I don't think even the most left-thinking liberal could blame Haiti on Bush! I do wonder how they would react if Obama didn't act in a timely matter?
And speaking of blame, as an evangelical Christian I would like to apologise for Pat Robertson. I don't believe that Haiti was punished by God for some "pact with the devil", and neither do most Christians I know. What a tool!
