I could be completely, totally wrong with my guess...but isn't that a pretty good guess? And its a brilliant idea. U2 fans creating the propaganda that subliminally invades their own brains during a performance of one of U2's most electric songs live I am so excited at this mere PROSPECT of hope.

Brilliant idea, I hope to Bono that you're right.

On Bono's hair, I'm a fan of both long and short haired Bono, not sure what he was sporting outside the Globe and Mail there but i liked it. The earing looked ridiculous though

I would agree...if this is what's really happening, the possibilities are really endless. It would be the greatest visual thing U2 could add to the 360° display- fan participation.

I KNEW I had these written down somewhere, and after a little bit of searching, I've found it. Years ago, when ZooTV Sydney was released on DVD, I watched "The Fly" in 1/4 speed with a notebook handy, writing down every "Fly-ism" I could. Either whole phrases that appeared, or consecutive words that, when flashed upon the screen one after the other, almost formed a sentence to your eyes. Anyway, here's the list of things that have been on the screen before for "The Fly"- there were some Vertigo Tour additions made to this list as well. Questions are bolded.

    -Everything you know is wrong
    -Is this all we get?
    -Death is inevitable
-Everyone is a racist except you
    -You'll never walk alone
-What did the first punk rock girl wear to your school?
-Work is the blackmail of survival
-Taste is the enemy of art
-Mock the devil and he will flee from thee
    -Rebellion is packaged
-Nobody move, and nobody gets hurt
    -Contradiction is balance
    -Art is manipulation
-I'd like to teach the world to sing
    -Guilt is not of God
    -Tomorrow belongs to me
    -Evolution is over
    -Silence=death
-What a human being YOU turned out to be
-It's your world you can change it (over and over and over again)
    -Watch more TV!
-Letters become words become sentences become lies become you
    -Is this okay?
-Smell the flowers while you can
-The secret is ________ (eventually replaced with "YOU")
    -Where is the fly?

Hmm not as many questions as I thought...

Oh god yes. Great ones Matt, let's hope for the return of that bug.

Smell the flowers while you can

Was actually during One. Quote by David Wojnarowicz, a gay artist who died of AIDS (cover art for the One single was his)

Yes, it was displayed at the end of "One", but it was also subliminally flashed word by word during "The Fly"

  7. aah okay. I think it's a great idea actually of WW. Only one month before the 3rd leg kicks off. Aaah the excitement.

    about 1.9million seconds.....
  9. So... A return of The Fly

Or... Bono going Oprah/Dr.Phil and answering your personal issues in nice a one-hour chat in your home town... The guy has to do something new doesn't he

I pray it's a return of The Fly, but am also keeping my thoughts open and not going to just immediately assume that they'll be playing it. This could also be some sort of "variation" on the ZooTV Confessionals, where they're simply looped around the screen during an encore break.

What would be REALLY cool, actually, a spinoff of that idea...imagine as this circles around-

What's Larry's phone number?....Is there a God?....What color are your underpants?...How come Adam never sings?....What is?.......[the screen begins to flicker with static; the following bolded words are subliminally flashed in a 5-second interval]....Is this all we (LETTERS) get?.....Why isn't (BECOME WORDS) everyone accepted?....(BECOME SENTENCES) What's with the glasses?.....What is the (BECOME LIES) truth?....BECOME YOU...........Where is the fly?

And when it finally said "where is the fly?", it could just stay there and zoom in on the words as strobes go off on the stage and the band opens the encore with "The Fly"
  11. You should work on the team there

But euhm... To much of a dream i think...

You know, when i read it, my first thought was "oh it's for Unknown Caller"

My three questions? And perhaps to lead you down the train of thought that has me breaking school rules to tell you all ASAP what I'm thinking....here they are.

    1: Is this okay?
2: What did the first punk rock girl wear to your school?
    3: ...where is the fly?

Sorry if any of the formatting is messed up in this post, my Blaclberry can get screwy

EXCELLENT questions. I have been racking my brain trying to come up with ones to ask myself. I also find it interesting why they ask your birthday on the form to fill out with the questions. Mine is June 30th, and the show I'm attending is July 3rd. I wondered could my questions pop up because of this? haha

(*Speaking of birthdays I think I'm going with a U2 themed party again this year... I might need some help with new ideas... I'm also trying to figure out how to build a mini-Claw in my living room...)
