That first night you took me up high
We circled the city by the moonlight
When I said I wanted to go down
You said don't be afraid I'll turn us around
Before we flew back she made me see
the sunset of gold reflecting off of the sea
We circled mountains tied up in white lace
As we swam through the clouds I kissed your face
Up and down we went with the air
As we flew over I ran my hands through your hair
As we flew back home I felt I understood love
With the neon below and her just above

'The Mist'
Born inside the fire, caught up in the wires.
I'm lost to my desires, as that's all that they will be. Helplessly.
I look to long lost hopes, but they've all cut the rope.
I look above but all i see is clouds, clouds that cover up the light.
I walk into the mist, not even sure I exist.
I'm nothing more than a flicker, now a dying ember too.
Turning from red to blue.
I dreamed of you last night, i'm still not quite sure why
You mean so much to my heart but my head is so uncouth.
'Dream of you'
I wiped the snow from poisoned berries, your lips red like cherry.
I can dream, it's all I can, it's all i ever do.
'Dream it through'
I walked into the mist. I could not explain.
The feeling creeping up my back, the things i could not see
They do not believe in me.
In the shadow of the statue, my knees are tattered and torn.
These tears are just a testament, to how long i've been born.
In the mist i caught the darkness, and the light all at once.
The truth did dance around my face, it was burning like the sun.
I just don't belong in this world, won't you take me somewhere warm.
With lights that cut the bitter, the bitterness from my tongue.
I'm so far from where you told me to end, half way to where you said begin
The lies did flitter across my face i felt them caress like sin.
As you lead me through the chaos, of the mundane so sore.
I remember the foolish things i've done, they shake me to my core.
I give everything I have got, to be free from my desire to be brought up in a rapture.
Freed from tangled wires.

I don't think that Alex meant it was a full song, I think that's just sketches of possible verses/choruses. I'd love to be proved right but that's what I think.

It's got sort of a beat to it in my head.
It's about being lost in the mist and confusion of adolescence and having been lead even further astray by following the designs of a Venus gone sour.

There's a star falling from the sky
Crashing to the ground.
There's a star falling from the sky
Crashing to the ground.
Harken to the sound.
I don't want to Observe, I want to feel.
And before such a sight, I'd humbly kneel.
For she's a star, as fallen from the sky.
I run from behind my telescope, and see it through my own eyes.
I am lost.
I am lost inside my own head.
I am lost.
and too scared.
But, teach me how to
me how to
me how to
There's a star falling from the sky
Crashing to the ground.
There's a star falling from the sky
Crashing to the ground.
Harken to the sound.
