  1. This is more a poem granted, but there ya go.


    I feel I'm young but I'm missing out on youth.
    Having some fun thing to do, and someone's groove to pursue

    I don't want to sit in wait, how can I at this age?
    When you want to show the world all your love, or make it fear your rage.

    I feel many's a contradiction, in this post hormonal time of friction
    But as I reclaim my sharpened sense of diction, I just want to have fun.

    And fun, may I stress, is to your diress not something that needs to leap forward
    from a bottle.

    Give me a crew, or at least one or two
    Who have the space to think and dream, as I do.

    Give me a girl, with hair that's pink or blue
    And I'll sing an entranced tune!
    For I am young, I am young, I have remembered!

    I remember writing a poem almost identical to this last year in my English class! It's a shame that I threw out the binder that contained it, I would have loved to show the scary similarities lol. Your poem is definitely better though, because of the line that I put in bold.
  5. I've been pretty silent around here lately, but I can guarantee I've got more stuff coming...

    You guys are really cranking out some awesome stuff, setting the bar high. That's the biggest benefit of this thread, I think, is being motivated by the other great lyrics to produce even greater work- we all bounce off each other so well

    I got the idea for some chords last night, so I quickly played them out and wrote them down before I went to bed. So, this morning I decided to do something with them in Guitar Pro with them. It took on a life of it's own and I can't wait to sit down and write lyrics for the song (right now my sister is home with the television and whatever else on). Anyway, here is the midi file which can be played in Windows Media Player. Really basic organ background, some echo arpeggios and a text book drum beat for right now lol. (Right now, it sounds like Moment Of Surrender featuring Matt Bellamy lol.)
