1. Ric, there's some very interesting music up there!! Definitely some stong U2 influences there I like Number 4 specially, and Number 6 is epic, I could imagine Pink Floyd playing it
  2. By the way, my mornings are mostly like this lately:

I seem to have picked up a strong writing vain... And I'm not letting it go, I swear.
  3. Sweet picture! I'm always glad to see this thread pop up. I have a few new songs coming out of the woodwork, but for the most part I think I'm wanting to play with a full band again. Twisted Planet has a new drummer, and we're in the process of getting a bassist, can't wait to get out there again.
  4. Tomorrow night my band are playing our first concert. One hour! Half will be covers (no U2 yet, sadly) and half will be our own songs. Wish us luck

Wait what about the video where you had the UABRS shirt on? Was that not your band?

  7. Yes, it was my band, but that was a band competicion/battle, not an actual concert We played just for 10 minutes!

Even though the band is now finished, I just remembered that I never got to share the studio version with you all. It's a bit raw because we only spent 2 hours recording it, but I like it anyway. A few flaws on my final guitar solo but it was a one-take so I'm happy with it too.

  9. ^ Sounds a fair bit punk rock.

That your voice on the song Sergio?
  10. Sure it is, and so is the guitar on the right channel.
  11. Mind sharing what specific gear was used guitar-wise? Digging that tone.

Song is amazing, it'll be back in my head for days now.

  12. The main guitar on the right (mine) follows this "lineage":

    Main riff and verses:
Fender American Stratocaster '89, middle pickup > Boss FZ-5 (mode M, level at 3 o'clock, guitar tone and volume somewhere like halfway through, fuzz at 1 o'clock) > Boss NS-2 (noise gate, can't remember the settings) > Fender Vibrolux (reverb set to 2, treble 7, med 5, bass 5)

Chorus (aka "you should be on my side" arpeggios) and solo:
Same guitar, bridge pickup and full tone and volume > Boss SD-1 overdrive (drive at around 2 o'clock) > Boss NS-2 > same amp.

Rhythm guitar on the left channel (played by my mate):

Epiphone Les Paul Junior > Boss SD-1 overdrive (drive at 12 o'clock) > Boss DS-2 turbo (can't remember the settings) > Boss NS-2 > same amp (different EQ treble 4, med 8, bass 5 or 6)

There's also a piano backing us up playing the main and verse riffs; it might be obvious to you but a lot of people have asked what effect I was using in my guitar because it sounded like a keyboard attached to it (wtf ).
