1. alright, i've seen it, really impressed.

it tails off a bit towards the end, but overall i'd recommend it. the guy who plays bono is really quite convincing, especially in the boy-era scenes.

the cinema i saw it in was literally empty too, so it was like my own private screening of a U2 film,
  2. The guy from the TV show Misfits is in it
  3. There's no Australian release date and the internet is not coughing up an alternative for me. This is very annoying.

  4. yeh i had no luck looking either, hoping for a good quality cam, or ill wait for a DVD rip
  5. Turns out that I went to school with the guy who plays Bono in this. Lost contact with him when he moved to America but cool none the less.
  6. Cool indeed. I went to the same school as the guy who invented traffic lights and D H Lawrence, although not at the same time obviously...
  7. Got round to seeing it tonight. Not bad really. McCormicks one cock up after the other did get a bit annoying but ah well. Plenty of fun accents, a cool portrayal of Bono and always cool to see a big movie filmed in your hometown.

One flub - They went to the trouble and attention to detail of showing Bono in a sling after the DC accident but timed it so that it happened before the Croke shows in June that year. The accident came after. Me being picky though.
  8. finished reading the book today, really fun read for all the candid U2 stories. he's pretty nice about them on the whole as well, which is nice to see.

he does a lot of whinging in it though, which gets a bit tiresome after a while but then i guess you can't blame him, he has been soul-crushingly unlucky.

I like empty cinemas, for some reason it's always empty when I go

I'm wondering when it will be released in Belgium, IF it will be released here Cause I'd love to see it
  10. I just finished the book and I really enjoyed it. I think I sort of feel like Neil as I often feel I am meant for greatness but it just isn't happening. (No one in my class is a mega star however). I also kust (illegally) downloaded the movie because it wasn't shown here. I can't wait to check it out!

    hahaha
  12. Theres a great screener of this on all the torrent sites and on a few tube sites too,i dont wanna post links for obvious reasons, but i can justify watching a copy of this as i'll buy the real deal when it comes out.Good movie, the early U2 when they're jamming in the house is quite uncanny.
