    Correct
  2. OHHHHHH YESSSS! That's fine by me!
  3. Great news indeed, can go to Silverstone now with the money saved
  4. "Williams have announced on Tuesday that Bruno Senna will contest the 2012 FIA Formula One World Championship for the team. Senna, who is the nephew of three-time world champion Ayrton Senna, replaces Rubens Barrichello as Pastor Maldonados team mate."

Will be interesting to see how he performs in a decent car. Obviously Williams see something in him if they are replacing the experience that Barrichello has. If Williams give him a competitive and reliable car, then he'll have a lot to prove. Pastor Maldonado wasn't particularly show stopping last year but he showed some promise in the mid section of the season (14, 14, 16, 10, 11, 11, 14) <- all respectable finishes for a driver in his position I'd say. They need a better car though to match the pace of the Sauber and Toro-Rosso, two teams you would have fancied them beating a few years ago.
  5. Barrichello is a pure loser. Senna will be an improvement.

Harsh. Barrichello outperformed Maldonado last year, so if anyone, it should be him who left. Arguably one of the great F1 names, there's a reason he's the driver with the most starts in history, experience. Granted he's never been majorly successful, but two championship runner up seasons is more than most drivers could hope for.
  7. I feel really sorry for Barrichello. A drive this year is out of the picture, so he may have to wait for next year. If nothing happens, it's a sad way to see him retire from the sport.

I wanted Senna to get a seat, not get the Williams seat. Lotus (Renault) should have kept him on taking the seat next to Raikkonen. Although, I think Grosjean is just there so when Kubica comes back, he can jump right into the seat. It looks like the secret Lotus are trying to keep.

I also feel really sorry for Sutil. Possibly one of the biggest prospects. He's never had a great enough car to prove himself. Stick him in a McLaren and he has a good shot at the title.

Makes me wonder who's going to get that final HRT seat... I'm thinking Alguersuari, since he's Spanish, but I don't know. Could be anyone.

Alguersuari has (reportedly) ruled himself out of a move to HRT, saying it's be a step back for his career. I doubt we'll see Barrichello again in F1 as a driver if no one offers him a seat this year, shame really.
  9. Senna said that he wouldn't drive Williams because "negotations had broken down" yet he still got the drive. Ricciardo also said that he wouldn't be driving for Toro Rosso in 2012, and he got a drive for them. I think Alguersauri would end up going to HRT. When he said "it would be a step back for his career", I think that's ridiculous. He came from F3 to F1 then drove for Toro Rosso and simply wasn't good enough. At least an HRT seat would keep him in F1.
  10. Very true. There's always so much contradiction at this stage of the year with the lower ranked F1 teams. In the interest of his career, I think Ricciardo would be worse off elsewhere when he isn't under Red Bull's 'wing'. Mark Webber is going to be replaced on day and I think Red Bull would prefer one of their junior drivers to take his place.
  11. Ricciardo is a promising prospect for the future, and possibly a champion in the making. Buemi is now Red Bull's reserve driver, suggesting that he may take over Webber next year. I believe Webber will leave Red Bull at the end of the year and also Massa leaving Ferrari too. It looks like Kubica will take Massa's place, but Webber? Well, maybe Buemi, but let's see how the two Toro Rosso drivers perform this year.
  12. Buemi does have slightly more experience than Ricciardo but I don't think Red Bull will necessarily want/need a team that resembles Ferrari and McLaren, where there are two top drivers. The focus is going to be on Vettel for the next few years so whoever replaced Webber would just be gaining first class experience. I like Ricciardo, great personality and although he wasn't blistering last season, he consistently outperformed his team mate. The fact he was in a HRT isn't relevent because his test times for RBR speak volumes.
