1. hi,
Bono will be 50 years old on 10 may 2010 ! ! ! i suggest people to send REAL birthday postcard to him to celebrate this particular birthday. you may send on thursday 6 or friday 7 may, a stamped card to this address: Bono - Happy-fifty Years Mr-bono Principle Management 30/32 Sir John Rogerson's Quay Dublin 2 Ireland
It's a simple thing to do, i'm a U2 fan since 1984, and that attention should make Bono happy, that's the way i suggest to thank him for 26 years of happiness and joy hearing the U2 music, and the guy he is... the more we send, the more he gets love from us ;o) I'm ready for the laughing gas !

i've created a facebook page, welcome:
    http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/profile.php?v=wall&ref=search&id=100000999463701

    name
    Happy-fifty Years Mr-bono

make this birthday unforgettable to him!!!
  2. I pay his wages. That's enough as a birthday present.

  3. Good point, but I like the well fund idea. I am going to make a donation... I mean you give some poor people a bit of money to help them out and you can claim it on your taxes. Everybody wins!

Seriously though I do think it's a good cause, and lately I have made a conscious decision to be come more socially aware and help out some causes kind of thanks to Bono.
  4. They're actually building a well to commemorate his 50th birthday? That honestly sounds like a joke a Bono hater would make. Not that I don't appreciate the good cause and all that, but c'mon, I mean really? This is just another thing that makes it harder to be a U2 fan. Build a well to support the community, and for that reason alone. It shouldn't have to be built because Bono is turning 50...

Other than that, I say happy birthday, he's had quite the life so far hasn't he?

I get what you mean, but apparently they do this every year.

  6. I'm glad to see there's still people out there that are slightly older than me

  7. I figured every U2 fan had heard about the African well fund by now, it's been going on for quite some years now...

  8. Well I hope you give yourself a long pat on the back for being a big enough U2 fan to know about this well fund thing.

  9. Haha, didn't mean to bug ya.
For me it falls in the same category as someone finding out that U2 is from Dublin. Or that U2 played Live Aid. That's all.
