bought it just out of fun... 3 Euros don't hurt I definitely won't bring them to any football games here once the WC is over. I wanted to try it out and... have one and dig it out of the closet in 4 years for the next WC... fun is all it's about (and I don't really get annoyed by that constant sound on tv, after some time I don't take notice of it anymore. but I tell you, these things are incredibly loud when you blow them actually, I live in the countryside, and when I blow it outside, the sound echoes back from the woods surrounding our place. scary! )

  2. if that will happen, a historical final it will become, no matter which team wins then

nobody will ask who was in the group afterwards... all that matters is how far you come congrats for the 2:0 today

Much more atmosphere when the crowd chants instead of blowing their horns On TV they put them down in the mix, which makes the whole game feel just as empty like a training game with some bee's attending.

Haha, it doe sound like a giant bee.

They sound loud in the mix over here very annoying!

I like Holland but I don't want them to do too well because they will beat England
  4. I know, when I was a child I used to have a purple plastic trumpet very similar to the now so-called vuvuzelas, and I remember how incredibly loud it was.... It was funny, yes.... but I was FIVE years old!!!

Nah, anyway, who cares about the trumpets: Spain's gonna win anyway.

next game? or are you talking about the final? mmmh... sorry, my friend... that has just been reserved for the Dutchies and my boys

  6. Obviously BOTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Spain will win it, its basically Barca + Madrid Vs the Rest of the World
  8. Barça vs. Rest Of The World would be enough. The Real Madrid stuff is a nice addition to an alread perfect team
  9. what can I say against Barca.....

    wait

didn't Germany lose against Spain in the European Cup final two years ago?!

  10. Absolutely so.
I have a nice memory of that match, since I speak a little of Deutsch I was more or less translating the discussion between my spanish friends (most of which don't speak English) and 4 drunk German men who wanted to spoil the party...... We all finally ended up drinking a beer together

  11. I obviously don't... traumatized, anyone?!

that's absolutely the right way, cheers for that let your heart beat for your team during the game and share a pint with the opponent fans afterwards. that's the spirit makes some of the best memories in the end if you stay sober enough to actually HAVE a memory, that is

I hate them too. A co-worker of mine who is sitting on the right side of me brought one with him.
It's like someone is blowing with a tuba in your ear. Terrible. And yes: it's annoying when you're watching soccer on TV. And I thought this thing was a typical Dutch item, but it seems the whole world has them now.

Can't wait for Bono blowing one of these things on some perormance one day.
In other words: "How To Dismantle An Audience And Scare Them Away Within 5 Minutes."
