    Ehm...just throwing this out here, but in my opinion it's only fun for the first 2 days to see the Netherlands colour in orange. After that, it only annoys me. Sometimes you see people walk the streets with a bunch of carrots on their heads, just because they're orange......please!
    I expect Holland to get as far as the quarter finals...MAYYYBE the semi finals.
    I expect the people and the media over here will grow more and more idiotic after each match that Holland plays untill our team goes home crying: as usual.
    Somehow people over here never see certain things: in 2000, Holland won over Yugoslavia with 6-1. Our national trainer said that "this game would be the standard for things to come". Somehow he forgot that Holland played a game against a few drunken old guys.

    People always go crazy when they see our team win from countries like Japan or Malta with 4-0 or 5-0. Of course we should win from teams like that, but it should be with 8-0 !

    I may be the party poop here, but I expect the Netherlands to be never the winner of a soccer world cup.
    We did win the European soccer cup in 1988...nice! But that's 22 years ago.

    A man's gotta dream eh? Of course we get beaten in the semi finals due to a penalty shootout. Just have fun before we get there.

    Actually, one thing that I was trying to be positive about, was the fact that Holland got out of that penalty shoot out-trauma.



    Anyway, the ball used on the penalty from Jaap Stam against Italy (what a disaster that was! ) from a few years back is probably still in orbit around our planet somewhere.

    But okay, let's try to have some fun until we get there, just like you said.
    But for me, it will be wise to not watch soccer on Dutch TV, because of all the crap that's being said.
