His actions were stupid but he took one for the team.

you know .... I support ajax .... but this guy makes me puke ....

he is a shame for the game of football !!! i am not talking the handball ... I would do the same ... its his other unfair play ----
he got another guy an undeserved red card earlier on, and he tries all he can to manipulate and pretend .. also you see him asking for a card for his opponent all the time ..... bloody mama boy ....
seriously, if I could tell him he sucks, in his face ... I would, but I guess the ajax supporters will kill me ...

man that guy sucks, with a capital S SUCKS !!!

so happy he can not pull any tricks against us in the semi final !

Suarez is a class act but I'm not liking much of his attitude, as Gerard eloquently phrased it Forlan though, fantastic player - what Man Utd would give to have had him play like this back then. Ghana can be so proud though, and I think the future's bright for them when you think how many of those players have barely broken into their 20s - valuable experience they can take into the next few international tournaments.

I think this tournament has thrown a couple things into the spotlight though - a) goal-line technology or something to prevent gaffs e.g. Lampard's 'goal', and b) in situations like Suarez's handball; should football take a hint from rugby and award penalty goals or the like? There was no doubt that would have been a goal bar for cheating, whether it was intentional or instinctive.

I've also been racking my brains as to a team of the tournament thus far...anyone fancy throwing their suggestions in?

    Harry,
    I have to disagree...
The hand issue was well resolved... red card + penaltie shot....
It was fair enough.... If I'd been in his shoes at the moment I'm pretty sure I've done the same....

on the matter of team of the tournament???
    still having doubts????
    ARGENTINA!!!!!!

we'll see how the boys play tomorrow...

Watch out for Mick "The Jinx" Jagger... he'll be showing up tomorrow to cheer for Germany....

If the shows up then Germany will surely lose.
  5. Suarez misused the weaknesses of the game. Unfair.
  6. Filthy Hack of a player. Karma will get u fuker
  7. Germany - Argentina 2:1 Congratulations to Holland!
  8. I would love a ger - hol final !!!

we get revenge for so many years ..... this is the moment, this is our year !

come on orange lions ..... play your heart out ...

at least they are dreaming out loud, as they said from the start they wanted to go for only one thing, and that is that golden cup ......

    they make me proud !!!
  9. Well, Brazil are out, will be joining England and the other early exiting heavyweights.

And for Germany and Argentina, I think the Germans should have it in the bag.

The Argentines can only really attack, their defense is kind of spotty, the Germans can both attack and defend and are very consistent and methodical- as is the German way.

Hell even the octupus football oracle is predicting they shall win

So we're probably looking at a Holland vs Germany final, seeing as the rest of the teams on the Dutch side of the tree are out of their depth.

But who knows maybe Spain can topple the Bavarians.
Either way it's going to be Germany or Spain winning the cup, I don't think the Dutch are quite at that level - they got a bit lucky against Brazil, they have a good keeper though - Brazil had a lot of shots at goal.

And LOL at Suarez, the drama doesn't ever stop does it. I can't imagine what's going to happen next or in the final.

A tactical handball, very smart for him to think of that albeit underhanded.
I wonder if FIFA will change the rules to stop this thing happening in future.
  10. Wel it was a smart move for Suarez. They were out of it anyway. He gambled an he won.

Of course it destroys all morals.

I hope for Dutch and German final. But the road for the Dutchies is till though. Doesnt matter who you play against, every team is good in the semi finals and every goal can kill you.

Nobody in Brasil thought they actually could lose from Holland. And many Dutch fans didnt think we could pull it of either.

One step at a time. Now Uruguay, without their most important player.
  11. Wow, 3 mins in!
    Argentina is going down

  12. just a bit premature for that, don't you think? Incredibly fast goal, nonetheless!
