1. I'm doing this from memory, I had a tape of a show many years ago that I've lost. Definitely early 80's, I can remember the intro to I Threw A Brick went something like:

    I threw a brick
    I threw a brick through a window
threw a brick through a window
    through a window, window, window!

Anyone have any ideas? It was either a soundboard or FM broadcast, but most likely an FM broadcast. Any help is appreciated.
  2. That was the usual intro to ITABTAW from 1982 to 1984, when it was later linked to A Day Without Me... Moreover, there are a lot of FM brooadcasts and soundboards from that era. Summary: We need more info!!
  3. I've since gotten a few shows, and none of the versions of Brick have that exact intro. It was definitely not Nov 14, 1981 Boston and also definitely not Dec 13, 1981 Lido Beach, NY. The repetition of the word "window" three times in a row was unique, I'm sure someone knows which show this was.
  4. I listened through all the FM broadcasts and the soundboards we've got here with ITAB, and I didn't hear it in any of them. Are you sure it was a broadcast or soundboard?
  5. sorry to confuse things but while we are on this subject I've got one and I don't know where it is from:
    Tracklist:

    Twilight
    Two Hearts Beat As One
    Sunday Bloody Sunday
    An Cat Dubh/Into The Heart
    I Threw A Brick Through A Window
    A Day Without Me
    October
    Gloria
    11 O'Clock Tick Tock
    I Will Follow

I'm sure its from 1983 because of the tracks but I have no idea of the date and location....

I know this is very vague but its all I have . Its about 4 star quality audience record I think, I may be soundboard...

Only Two Heats Beat as One has a snippet (Let's Twist Again)

Positive. A girl I knew in high school had given me the tape, I think she said she got it from a cousin who worked at a radio station. I lost the damned thing somehow and have been living with the guilt for 25 years now.

  8. It's a setlist that can't ever be played in this order, so the bootleg company mixed it up, so probably only one bootleg with this track order exist - that makes it an easy find.

Maybe it's rare, I have no clue - I believe it's not on the show pages here.
  9. Sorry lecher for stealing your topic

I couldn't find the version you're looking for in the SBD's / FM's from that era that I have. The story is quite interesting - a pre-FM tape from a radio station - it might have been pure gold but it might be lost forever... Ouch!

Hmm, maybe with your friend's connection to the radio station the tape with the broadcast was never circulated...just to add to your guilt. I don't know though. I'll listen through some of the audience recordings to see if it's on any of them.
