1. No goodbye at all. He just turned and walked off as far as I remember. I think Larry, Edge and Adam all waved as they followed on. Very emotional.

Did most of the audience know what was happening with Bob and the delicate situation which Bono was going through? I know that nearly everyone in Slane knew about the funeral etc. but that was after Bob's passing away... Did most of the London audience know it?
  3. I just did something similar to this. I used U2gigs show statistics page to input the 100 bootlegs I'll have listened to by Saturday...I'm on my 98th right now and will have the next two done by Saturday. I did my song stats and saw just how many times I've heard some of these songs...it's pretty crazy!

    This is the top 15:

    · Where The Streets Have No Name (82 times)
    · Pride (In The Name Of Love) (81 times)
    · Sunday Bloody Sunday (74 times)
    · Bullet The Blue Sky (70 times)
    · One (69 times)
    · With Or Without You (68 times)
    · New Year's Day (61 times)
    · I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For (59 times)
    · I Will Follow (58 times)
    · Mysterious Ways (50 times)
    · Beautiful Day (48 times)
    · Bad (46 times)
    · Until The End Of The World (46 times)
    · Elevation (43 times)
    · The Fly (37 times)

I know that most of the people around me knew about the situation, but I was right at the front with the die hards. No idea about people further back. I think it was all in the papers even before the passing of Bono's father so maybe most people did know. Elevation remains to be my favourite tour. I still get goosebumbs when I hear the intro to the Elevation mix that came over the loud speakers!

With Elevation, BD and The Fly in there I presume you've listened to alot of Elevation shows! Which is your favourite from that tour? I'm currently listening to Los Angeles from 2001-11-19. A really good show.

    Faves from Elevation-

    2001-10-25: New York NY
    2001-03-29: Charlotte NC
    2001-05-16: Chicago IL
    2001-09-01: Slane
    2001-07-12: Cologne

And everyone raves about 2001-10-10, but to be honest- I've never listened to the whole bootleg

I have the show on DVD and I've watched it most of the way through a few times, but never all in one sitting..gotta listen to that one proper sometime.

I'm not saying it was a bad show- I fully intend to listen to it, and from what I've heard, it is really really good, I'm just saying since I haven't heard it in full yet, I can't really put it on my list.
