Thanks for the offer. I didn't find it but I have to admit that I didn't search very hard.
I rarely hold my breath when it comes to IEM's. I can understand the joy lots of people experience when listening to an IEM, but to me it's usually just a tough listen, interesting to hear a few but rather for their peculiarity than for listening pleasure. And to be honest, I more and more tend to only care about listening pleasure.

I might be interested in trying a matrix, depending on how bad exactly the recording is. Or does a matrix already exist? I do believe you're not interested that much in such projects so I won't ask you to share it here just for experimental purposes that probably will fail or never be finished.

    cheers
  4. I wouldn't think a matrix would be warrented due to the excellence of the existing audience source. This iem is also pretty poor.
  5. Thanx for replying. Didn't hear the aud either. If it's excellent it indeed probably only gets worse by adding a weak IEM. Won't waste my time on it.
  6. Just out of curiosity I played some around with the Paris IEM & aud sources. Nothing really fancy, just some basic cleaning up, EQ and mixing down. Not sure whether it's worth finishing. Opinions please. Here's one track: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4PR1DM9O
Again it's just an experiment, please ignore hiss and other sloppiness that wouldn't be present in a serious attempt.
  7. Mixing Opinion

Ok, Bedoc allowed me now to do this matrix. Here is a sample of my mix:

    Removed, cause of update.

I reduced the volume of the IEM's considerably. I have used a nice guitar-Filter from Adobe Audition to bring Adams Bass more in front. I also used the Center-Channel Extractor to boost all instruments a little bit. No other EQing. What do you think?

    @noiseless

I like your mix. The best audience source of Paris 2 is the Godfather-Silvers.
  8. Noiseless mix sounds more natural. Less like a matrix.
  9. Ok, I forgot one setting, here's the update: http://www.sendspace.com/file/tfqzqz

But if you don't like it, I'll do this mix only for me and my brother.

    I removed the first sample.
  10. excellent, i for one would like to hear your whole efforts if you continue
  11. I will certainly continue the matrix. But I'll don't upload it later when the mix from noiseless is the favorite here. Needs not two versions.
  12. Your last sample was better The Paris show wasnt that good, so I'm not sure I'd listen to either anyway.
