New songs, like proper new songs - that one they wrote for Glastonbury (at least Bono and maybe Edge anyway) I wonder if that's one of them. They wanted to play it, chances are it's gonna get an outing sometime whether on a record or live - although look at that Kingdom song...it turned up for an official release.

I think they should release even live versions of these new songs to iTunes, maybe after a few shows.

  2. If it's boring as NLOTH to others, it wouldn't get downloads on iTunes even. But yeah, you never know maybe these 'new new songs' are some they wrote for Glastonbury or seeing the reaction to them for a new album, which would be an obvious thought to most people - after all, you don't write songs and talk about them (well, U2 does at least) that much not to do something with them.

ZOMFFFFFG1111111 I can see the Claw on that webcam - the very top!!!

Writing the song, their next show when it was likely finished was Glastonbury. I don't think it's Glastonbury-specific but even if it is, Bono would probably forget the lyrics or change them round anyway so it shouldn't matter so much. It can always work...
  5. ....I wish we could get confirmation of this...
  6. SO EXCITED!

  7. Ignorance is bliss; we'll know for sure in 9 days. I can keep myself entertained by rumors til then
  8. That's cool.
  9. U2place confirms some rehearsals this afternoon, but also says that U2 may be rehearse more fully in a venue nearby the stadium; probably a closed one (i.e. probably no rehearsals boots for those sessions).
  10. Rehearsing elsewhere could be great. Ultimate secrecy. With any of luck none of us will have a clue whats coming.
