yeah i hear the word sunshine. i thought he might be saying "you're my sunshine"? who knows!

and yeah the riff does appear to kick quite a lot of arsez - not too keen on the solo in the middle though... sounds a bit contrived and weak... think i'm just gona have to hope they play it on the night and we get a good quality recording before i pass too much judgement!
  2. gosh , i am excited! intro of gone, miss sarajvo, soon, hold me thrill me and new song... up to now i sbetter than expected
i think that hold me thrill me.. is gona be the new encore opener in the place of ultraviolet ecen though i hope not...
  3. that riff sounsd like a mix off goyb and breathe. love the solo.

i can live with that although UV is my favorite song of all times.
  5. i forgot to say, but doesn´t the riff sound like the one from one of the videos in fez?
  6. U2place is warning the Gone intro may have been confused with Hold Me.. intro :/

  8. Meh, not really excited about the new song. Didn't quite like it. I know it's a lame recording, but didn't feel anything while hearing it
  9. new sunglasses would be a great start!

If fans have a similar reaction to the new song(s) live it could have a telling effect on whether the guys think the new songs are good enough for an album. Otherwise it could be back to the drawing board and a long wait.

I'm sure there's a topic in this forum on whether you'd prefer U2 to only produce material that's of a certain standard rather then of a certain regularity.

Given its a new decade as well shouldn't they be looking for a new sound - to "dream it all up again"?
