1. Can't they just open with NLOTH?!

It says they can change their minds on something. I was at the South Bend show in 2001 where they opened with B. Day and it actually did work. Its funny because at soundcheck that day they rehearsed opening with Elevation. So they changed their minds right before the show. From what I have heard they just felt Elevation worked better on that tour as an opener due to the intro remix, thats all. That being said I think B. Day is better than Breathe opening but I can think of other old songs that would be better openers. They might as well open with Streets like the old days, I think that would be better than B. Day. I do think most of the crowd will go ballistic though if they open with B. Day. Us diehards wont be as ballistic. I guess we will just have to see how it goes down.

So I don't think it says anything that they only used it once before. I also am not saying they might open with something else. My "guess" would have been Boots as the opener. My pick would be No Line On The Horizon as the opener. Sadly I think NLOTH is going to be dropped for the rest of the tour and I think its the best from the album.

I agree with most of your post, but speciphically that part is exactly what I though. 90% of the stadium going nuts with the first song is something that has not happened since...mmm... 1993.

Fair points on changing minds. They did the same this tour with Magnificent. NLOTH all the way fr me and I too have my doubts about it's possibility being dropped. I wouldn't be tempted to see a show where they ditch NLOTH and keep Breathe, Magnificent, Crazy shambles and all of that ATYCLB tat. I will keep hoping though

  6. You mean COBL? Only in South America......but there they can open with Party Girl, COBL or Street Mission, they go nuts the same.

I don't think BD would be a good opener (I don't think it will be, so who cares anyway). But in case they try it, it will mean that a) they have opened their minds (as Blue_Room said) and that b) most of the audience, both casual and hard-die fans, would be instantly 100% into the show. And that's always good.
  7. Where the hell is No Line on the Horizon? I haven't heard of them rehearsing it... If they dropped it and continued with the awful Elevation/In a Little While 1,2 punch -_-

    The Flowering Rose of Glastonbury

Take me to the house of rain
You know I’m gonna never be
    Matches in a simple way
As the structure sits along the way

Hey that`s known as the flowering rose, a flowering rose that said my name
Kings and wine the flowering rose, the flowering rose of Glastonbury

Yeah, oh, rock and roll sunshine
Yeah, oh, a miracle will give you time

Some things you just can`t control
Sometimes you have to let go

Going to a brand new set
Music it will set me right
Nothing for the house of rain
    Nothing that has ever been

Hey that`s known as the flowering rose, a flowering rose that said my name
Kings and wine the flowering rose, the flowering rose of Glastonbury

Yeah, oh rock n roll sunshine
Yeah oh a miracle will give you time

    Living like a pilgrim sleeping
Under the flower of the American dream
Set the scene like a thought worth keepin
Livin in a dream jeez you can’t be sleepin

Yeah, oh, rock n roll sunshine
Yeah, oh, A miracle will give you time
Yeah, oh rock n roll sunshine
Yo oh rock n roll sunshine
A miracle will give you time
A miracle will giv you time
A miracle will let you fly
    A miracle

    For Your Love - Northstar

    Forty-five men
    I used to know
    Where we grew up
    Where I wanna be
    Beside you

    Every song a precious face
    No pretension
    To hide yourself from blame

    I can’t wait any longer
    For your love
    I can’t wait
    I can’t wait
    I can’t wait any longer
    For it
    I can’t wait any longer
    For your love

The birds still singing for you
As they fly above the good land
It’s not a song of discontent
    It’s not like that
    Up in the sky

    Here I am, spaced out
All failed in the northern logic
    Guided in the universe
    Hey hey

    I can’t wait any longer
    For your love
    I can’t wait
    I can’t wait
    I can’t wait any longer
    For it
    I can’t wait any longer
    For your love

And a day as it ends
And you watch as the sun goes down
    Praying the night
    Will go quickly now
    Your hope
    Your need
And the clouds make the sky alone
There’s only one light that can guide you
    Guide you

    I can’t wait any longer
    I can’t wait any longer
    For your love
    I can’t wait any longer
    For your love
    I can’t wait
    I can’t wait
    I can’t wait any longer
    For your love
    For your love

    Take me to your body
Show me that you want it
    You want it
    You got it
    You want it
    Child
