You don't hear MOD on every concert so be glad to hear this. Sometimes it's why they're doing it, now how.

    i liked it.

If you mean they have to soundcheck.... well they could do that with Beautifull Day or Streets... no need to use a "new" song for that.

I don't think they rehearse that much in the studio inbetween gigs. If they weren't so inherently lazy we would have heard well-rehearsed full band-versions of EBW, North Star etc by now...........

Big difference playing to yourselves in a small room or even an empty hall to playing in front of 50000+ people and seeing the reaction. They've admitted they're roadtesting the songs to see what reaction they get. I'm sure there are recorded versions lurking...
  4. Wow! What a soundcheck! Could they be contemplating the impossible??

  5. The crowd had something to do with it, for me. I don't think they performed badly at all. General atmosphere of the show was fairly low-energy though.

the Vienna show was possibly one of their worst gigs ever. They screwed up like 10 out of 23 songs...
  7. There's one like that every tour; it's called a bad night. I can get past that; the worst nights of the 360 Tour are still better than even some of the mediocre Vertigo shows in my opinion- and I'm a huge Vertigo fan.

Geez, some people can't be satisfied.

Personally I'm more excited about MOTD than Mercy's rehearsal. I just don't like it. But that shows that the band is open to new ideas

If I'm not mistaken they have a fairly large back catalogue accumulated over the course of 30 years, not just "Pride, One and Streets".

Would much rather see them resurrect something they haven't played in a way a la UV or TUF than play a fairly mediocre track that failed to make HTDAAB (granted it hasn't been played yet but it would seem a matter of time), Glastonbury (a nice tune but not much more) & North Star (which, by their own admission, needs a lot of surgery)

And for the matter, while I like to hear that they're releasing new stuff, you can appreciate that I'd only want them to do so as long as it's of a certain quality/standard.
  9. I like what i'm hearing about last nights crowd. Everything i've read said they were amazing. Looking forward to a recording. Shame the place wasn't full either.
  10. That was not a good performance of MOTD sadly enough...Bono should sing it like he did in Buenos Aires or Santiago

  11. But he had a guest with it, so he needed to take that in account, couldn't go flat out
I liked it, great when Edge started the tune on guitar, chivers down the spine.
And I think it meant a lot to the Turkish fans that Zulfu was on stage with U2,
    based on their reaction.
