1. The fact is that seeing U2 play (at least rehearse) this song that many people seem to love (I don't know it enough to have an opinion on it) is really astonishing
  2. Some new lyrics on Mercy. Sounds nice though

  3. There! Much better!

Even if they don't play them, they do have the idea to maybe play them at some point. Which gives me hope
    They rehearsed MOTD 5 times.
  4. 5 times? Will be certainly played so. Bono adds something on MOTD I can't understand, maybe Turkey-related
  5. 5 times rehearsed doesn't necessarily mean it will be played. Tryin To Throw Your Arms Around The World was rehearsed extensively and repeatedly before Turin, then vanished.

  6. From what I've read on Twitter they played MOTD and Mercy 5 times!

Yep, but not 4 hours before the show. I really think it will be played, and hope I'm not wrong but indeed, can't be sure.
  8. So Bono did hear me yelling "play Mercy!" afterall when he was walking towards the bridge at the beginning of Miss Sarajevo in Vienna.

It sounds quite reworked. Hopefully this will not turn into a huge disappointment in case they play the song...
  9. Mercy is one of my favorite U2 songs, even though all I have of it is a bad quality Youtube rip. If they're rehearsing it (and it has new lyrics, and it sounds great), then perhaps they're thinking of finishing it...and recording it...even if they don't play it, the prospect of getting a finished (high-quality) Mercy is aaaaaaawesome. (...and it's rather obvious that this show will get downloaded quite a bit if Mercy is indeed played...)

And Mothers of the Disappeared is a nice song...it'd be cool to hear that one, too. Probably not one I'd like to see in the setlist every night, but nice for some variation (and only played when it has some meaning behind it)...
  10. I think Mercy would be the perfect song to fix the "we couldn't recover the mood after Drowning Man" excuse, thus allowing them to play Drowning Man as well.
  11. OMG.

    Mercy.

They could play Mothers, probably because incident when Israeli attacked Turkish boats and killed few activists.

Mercy too would be awsome. Sure, they never rehearsed it on the stage, but I'm sure they did indoors. I adore that song.
  12. Sounds pretty good. Very uplifting. I'd be surprised if it was played tonight though.
