1. Lmao! Not even CLOSE to the version in the movie in terms of production value and what it sounds like. Listen to the Transformers clip again, and then listen to that video. Completely different.
  2. Not to mention the fact that the band rehearsal footage shows the band playing all sorts of songs (Larry playing Streets most noticeably).
  3. Id like to also beat the dead horse and say that that's not the studio version from the movie...Still like the acoustic version in the video though
  4. This YouTube video seems like someone recorded the guitar and drums with good quality at home and mixed in Bono´s voice from some IEM.... I want to listen to it, darn it!
  5. Not to be a downer (I like hearing new material just as much as anyone here - and NS is quite nice) but is anyone else a bit "concerned" that they are playing this song along side the release of a sure-to-be-crap/overblown movie? It's a bit of a sellout to me.

Yes I agree it's a bit concerning... I just wish they'd put more attention towards the next album and maybe save what to me at this stage is a quality song for the next album
  7. So we still don't have a recording from the movie of the song?

im not really fussed by it, they were playing the song before Transformers and they will hopefully being playing it long after the movie too.

Not especially. As Andrew mentioned, they were playing it a year ago before anyone even knew anything about the movie/U2 collab.. Plus, it's not on the soundtrack. No one (unless they look) will know it's U2 in the movie becuase of that, it's almost like advertising without selling out. Playing it live again now that the movie is out is just sort of to make that connection between movie song and actual song.
