1. Maybe we can catch some more Tapers with new Features here then.
  2. That would be nice indeed

But we only have limited time and sooo many sections to work on. I am sure we can surprise you guys in 2011 though

I will help, if you want.
  4. We can use all feature suggestions people give us Mainly about fading the 'borders' between the sections. We dont want to be U2Torrents, U2Mp3, U2Photos, U2Forums, we want to be 1 site. So if you have any ideas of how we can make the integration between the sections better we would really appreciate those

For example, the Show section and the Torrent section are now better integrated with the 'Other sources' tab. The Photo section is not really integrated yet in the rest of the site. You have some ideas for that?
  5. I just want to be singing from the same hymn sheet here, and having read the FAQs on downloads I still have a couple of questions.

First, am I right in thinking that there's 3 ways to increase 'credit'. First, upload a torrent, second upload a show, third leave utorrent running so that I become a 'seeder'?

My second question is about uploads. I have some old recordings from 'cassettes' which are now on mp3 format. Should I upload these to the 'shows' section, or the 'torrents' sections? And will mp3's upload okay?

Many thanks in advance for your answers - that way I can get uploading quickly

First of all, thanks for your intentions to start torrenting, that's great!
Your three ways of increasing credit are not 100% correct since one and two are identical. You can't earn credit by uploading a show outside our torrent section. Credit is just the traffic you generate by uploading data to others through your torrent program. Becoming a seeder or uploading a torrent are the two ways to get that.

It also helps to download the so-called 'freeleech' torrents (as the download guide describes), these torrents don't count your download, but only your upload.

Re your second question, sure that's possible but if the MP3's are already available in our regular shows section then I predict very little demand for your torrent. It is way easier for people to just instantly download MP3's from our show section than from the torrent section. If you however have a show that we don't yet have in our show section, then we're pleased to welcome that! Even as MP3. But lossless is preferred for torrents since demand will be higher.
  7. Probably not the right topic...

But I'm a little worried about the invasion of "Karls" from Australia... http://www.u2start.com/torrents/details/181/#stats

Does that mean that Karl is the new world leader? What happens if my name isn't Karl? Is Karl a nice guy?
And why is he obsessed with Switzerland?
  8. Hahaha
  9. That doesnt seem right
  10. Oh, I've noticed him before. But he was doing this "karl123, karl121, karl122, karl234, karl232, karl345" and so on... But I don't know why he keeps creating multiple accounts and then downloads the same torrent.

That torrent now has 26 seeders.

You can notice his multi-accounting here too.
  11. So that 6000+ figure of new members from last year is probably a bit less now thanks to him
  12. Yeah indeed he created a lot of fake accounts, but he got banned automatically each time so makes you wondering why he took that effort. Anyway, we banned all his accounts and IP addresses so we probably will not see him around anymore here.

And yes, he spoiled some of the registrations last year
