I already wrote something on youtube...I like how you edited the band / Bono during the intro, it really creates some ambiance feeling. The colour correction (whatever lol) is also great (again - u did it also on Port of Amsterdam didn't you). I'm also fairly impressed by how well those few moments already look like considering you will get some great additional footage by me. I'm curious if you can top your Amsterdam multicam
Multi-cams are always great but I am a picky one. Seems to be only a few sources used for that song. The less cams the better in my opinion. I think it would work a little better holding a (nice) shot for longer. I would also recommend slowing the transitions down. It's kinda like shot boom other shot boom other shot. If you could soften the switches from shot to shot it would be a little easier to watch.
Admittedly I couldn't do this myself (I wouldn't know where to start) but there's my thoughts anyway. Good job.
Yes, keep steady shots for a bit longer, there's no need to show all the great cameras you have collected all the time... It's the same problem that Hamish Hamilton has!!
As I told you the other day, it looks very good, although I might agree with the other Gerard's point (in addition to the less-shots thing): try to slow down the transitions between different shots. Sometimes a quick switch is recommended, but not always.
I would agree with what is being said, I think in certain places you need to hold shots longer.
You do an excellent job at shot selection, just a few less cuts
this ediing style would work better for a song like boots or Crazy or even magnificent maybe
i would not make a drastic change, just let the eye watch shots a bit longer, especially when the shot is a close up, wide angle can be kept shorter
also i was wrong about what I told you on fB, i watch the synch carefully and it looked spot on to me, you even correctly synched the overhead screen shots
By the way, using less shots (~letting them run a bit longer) means less editing work (and potential sync. problems)for you... So it's a win-win situation
