  1. Now we have 5 new songs played on the tour so far, at this rate U2 may have played over 10 new songs. It would be great for them to release a mid price album of the live versions of the songs. No fuss and no fanfare. I've always wanted them to release a live album of new songs. I can se the tracklisting taking shape already.
  2. Can't see it but it will be later in the tour if they do. None of the songs are finished at the moment.

  4. An even cooler thing could be this:

    A dualdisc; CD side containing five live highlights not released as live before, five 'new' studio songs and the DVD side containing videos, a 20-minute documentary on how they went about recording the new songs, an online code to unlock other bits online and the whole album mixed in 5.1 surround sound - oh and a photo gallery plus live videos.

    That'd be an album worth buying.

    Would you buy the standard edition, the deluxe edition, the super deluxe edition, the book edition, the Kindle alternative edition, the digital download edition, the super-box-set-rape-you-in-the-a$$ edition that comes with one of Bono's ACTUAL fingernails, or the invisible edition?

    How about a live E.P ? Similar to Under a Blood Red Sky maybe,but less than 8 songs.Just the 5 new ones.Of course,the band could add another new song before the end of the tour in Rome,and add that as well.A live E.P. containing only "new" songs would be great.Maybe just a fanclub release ????

    This stuff will be old news by the time the fanclub release rolls around for next year, with Duals rolling out this year.

    They'll probably do what NIN or Smashing Pumpkins are doing and start releasing these track by track, or possibly in a 3 song E.P., maybe make limited edition pressings of it if you want hard copies. Adam said something like they were starting to buy into that idea.

    i hate that idea. They obviously have enough songs to make a great album so why would they do EP?
    I like the idea of releaasing the album as an iphone application or whatever. Could be a landmark.
