    True, 2 examples:
    entrance of band with Major Tom, GREAT to hear that so clear..less great not to hear the full strength of crowd welcoming....
    and then there is WOWY into MOS...truly deathening appreciation, and with IEM/AUD you do not get full feel of that...

    But for the rest imho the IEM is special quality wise, and rare in a sense.
    Imagine a multicam with average aud-source, when the IEM would have been circulating...I guess loads of folks would have killed to get IEM in the multicam. Pick your Poison :-))))

    What I like is that drew (who did audio mix) has IEM and AUD sources that have not surfaced elsewhere.. in this time and age its almost impossible not to leak something...so compliments in order. And yes, would also love to experience the multicam with a MLK/Alysha quality AUD, and compare...but you can never expect to get the best of both worlds.

    BIG compliment to Frans and Belgium/dutch fans for great camera angles, one to treasure for sure :-))

  3. Some multicam makers provide multiple audio sources. Achtungpops Barcelona multicam has 3 audio sources to choose from (IEM and t audience sources).
  4. seriously .... that counting totally ruins everything for me .....
    not kicking any shins .... but I just cant stand it .... last year I had my first "iem-countdown" experience and ever since I have tried very hard to think that the boys are not in any way listening to a voice countdown ... however .. I do want to thank the makers of this thing ! your efforts are much appreciated you cant please m all .... and here is hoping for a better audience source and an option for us to choose !

    But that would be the AMAZING exception to the rule I guess.

    I do not even want to start discussion now about 1 multicam being available 5x later on with everybody adding different audio and or matrix, and sharing.. haha

    Will listen myself to bedoc with video, see how that compares, that is best aud-source available at this time. This is what we refer to as 'luxury problems'.

  9. Hi all, I'm Greg, the other admin of U2bat

    It took more or less 200 hours of work to release the final project. Frans did it all alone. Fist because it was easier to collect all the videos (250GB for both dates) and then because he's better than I at editing and using Final Cut.

    So all in all, for people interested in Stats :
    - 250GB of HD videos we've received.
    - 70 people have participated by sending their videos
    - 200 hours of work on editing the Multicam.
    - The matrix has been sent by Drew.

    So first, Frans edited all the videos of the Multicam based on Trebor's recording. Then Drew sent in his Matrix which was based on Trebor length (easier then to incorporate the sound on the videos).

    At the moment; Frans is working on a new matrix 4 sources that Drew sent us.

    Concerning the 23rd of september, first we gonna give a little rest to Frans. We haven't seen him much as he worked hard on the project. We thought he was dead, drying in his apartment. The second date will be released in summer 11. For all that will ask; summer is from 21st June til 21st September. I know, it's long but if you wanna have the same results, you'll have to be patient.

    Some updates : Frans is working on the DVD chapter section and Menu. He'll add a surprise in the bonus ;-)

    Yesterday he added Drew's new matrix (4 sources) to the Multicam.

    It will be release soon, don't worry, we'll keep you informed and we'd like also to wish you a Happy New Year and thanks for the great feedbacks. It motivates Frans !
  10. I love how every Multicam Project is lately turning into a proffessional project with dozens (hundreds?) of collaborators all around the world, chiefs, assistants, official announcements, release dates and eveything else. GREAT

    (I can't help the thought that Universal Music will contact you for their next U2 live DVD haha)

    I went to both concerts but unfortunately i don't have a camera so i couldn't provide you with material.
    Anyway, thanks a lot for doing this, please take your time and don't worry how long it takes
