exactly! I was listening NLOTH this afternoon on the bus and it felt like i listened to it for the first time, that feeling when i was fully discovering my first U2 album, precious memories, really reliving such moments are priceless, although it only happens rarely

Sometimes I relate songs to things that happened in my life, for instance when I had to make a maquette/model for school, I was listening to The Unforgetable Fire (album) over and over again, and always when Indian summer sky was on, i heard this sentence: you give yourself to this the longest day , and I was like: omg, this is really the longest day, I worked all night (while i was dying to get some sleep), finished my maquette at 7:30am in the morning, jury was at 8:30u, I was too late. Now when i hear this song, it always reminds me of that horrible night (sorry, off topic)

I totally get it. I could go on and on about different stories or memories about what this song or that song reminds me of. It's just that type of passion that I think everyone can relate to to U2 in here.

yes, every song has it's meaning, but it can be interpreted in so many ways, it's what you make from it, to what you relate it
  3. great topic...I'd have to rank em:

    1. Streets
    2. Zooropa
    3. DiscoTECKABLAM
    4. Zoo Station (although, this song only worked for me live)
    5. Sunday Bloody Sunday
    6. No Line on The Horizon
    7. Beautiful Day
    8. I will Follow
    9. A Sort Of Homecoming
    10. Gloria
    11. Vertigo
    12. Helter Skelter (great opening...just not a U2 song)

  4. Soon to Breathe, Zooropa to Babyface. Of course the first never happend, but it does on my own cdr

    Soon
    Breathe
    Magnificent
    No Line On The Horizon
Winter(with the Star Trek title theme style opera ending edited out)
I'll Go Crazy if I Don't Go Crazy Tonight(Original no stupid remix)
    Get On Your Boots
    Stand Up Comedy
    Being Born(without the Fez intro)
    Cedars Of Lebanon
    Moment of Surrender

What About Unknown Caller? Well, if they did a version without the awful band backing vocals, I would put that after Being Born...Edge's guitar is epic, but that "reboot yourself," is the weakest they have sounded ever.

  5. This would have to be mine too.
  6. Streets, Vertigo, Zoo Station.
