Hey Emiel... thanks for posting Dirty Old Town... proof that rarity can provide greatness !
Larry doing The Dubliners... did he pass the audition ?!
I saw him do it in Cologne 1993, terrible sound in that stadium but happy memories.

I don't even think we're in for any surprises for Rome. And I'm going to Rome! I'm so looking forward to the show and no matter what they'll decide to play, it will be great. We've got more than expected from U2 this tour with all the new songs and unrealeased stuff, rarities and surprises.![]()

The leg is almost over but the tour is like halfway through! We are on the third leg and there is still another north american leg, austrisa/nz and maybe south america! And also, didn't they bring some special stuff to the very last few gigs of vertigo only?
Originally posted by ahn1991:Honestly speaking though, how can we really complain about this tour? They played The Unforgettable Fire, a song that had not been played since the Joshua Tree tour. They played Electrical Storm, which had never been played live before. They played Your Blue Room, also never played live before. They brought back Ultra Violet with the best performances that I've ever heard. They brought back Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me, another amazing song. Not to mention they've played Mercy and released Glastonbury, Every Breaking Wave, North Star, and Return of the Stingray Guitar. And then there was Spanish Eyes and Mothers of the Disappeared.
If you ask for my honest opinion, the band has been putting up an exceptional show by bringing out all this new material, especially since their large and complex stage almost demands that shows be scripted ahead of time. Surprises or not, nearly every gig has sounded absolutely otherworldly.
I'd love them to keep surprising the crowd, but personally I'm most anxious to finally get the chance to attend my first U2 concert when they come back to the states.
