1. Half of the other Australian musicians who had to get their way up to some success and not through rubbish reality shows know better than not to end 'Australian Music Executive's Masturbation Night'. Just saying - if music execs and the public knew what real music constituted half those bands wouldn't be up there and Australian Idol / X-Factor / Popstars shows wouldn't be showing.
  2. May I sneak into the Aussies-only discussion
Well, that's the never-ending conflict between quality-relevance-mainstream, etc.

If you ask 100 people from Spain (I can only speak of my own country, but I guess it's more or less the same everywhere else in the world) which Australian artists do they know, I'm sure that 95% would ONLY know Kylie. Sad but true, most of the Australian music that crosses your borders comes from that girl

No, you're not allowed to come into our discussion.

    Of course you are.

Unfortunately it comes from her songwriting team and a drum machine plus a talentless hack. Kylie is relevant, sure. Doesn't mean 'cos she's relevant she makes appealing music. I like pop music as much as anyone but I can recognise when it's tailored for people who can't be bothered to seek out off the mainstream charts.

Is Kylie Minogue's noise quality? I'm sure to some she is. Is she relevant? Depends on what you call relevant.
