1. Libya and Libyan "dictator" Muammar Gaddafi:

    1. There is no electricity bill in Libya; electricity is free
    for all its citizens.

    2. There is no interest on loans, banks in Libya are
    state-owned and loans given
to all its citizens at 0% interest by law.

    3. Home considered a human right in Libya –
    Gaddafi vowed that his parents
would not get a house until everyone in Libya had a
    home. Gaddafi’s father has
died while him, his wife and his mother are still living
    in a tent.

    4. All newlyweds in Libya receive $60,000 Dinar (US$
    50,000 ) by the government
to buy their first apartment so to help start up the
    family.

    5. Education and medical treatments are free in
    Libya. Before Gaddafi only 25%
of Libyans are literate. Today the figure is 83%.

    6. Should Libyans want to take up farming career,
    they would receive farming
land, a farming house, equipments, seeds and
livestock to kick- start their farms
    – all for free.

    7. If Libyans cannot find the education or medical
    facilities they need in Libya,
the government funds them to go abroad for it –
not only free but they get US
$2, 300/mth accommodation and car allowance.

    8. In Libyan, if a Libyan buys a car, the government
    subsidized 50% of the price.

    9. The price of petrol in Libya is $0. 14 per liter.

    10. Libya has no external debt and its reserves
amount to $150 billion – now
    frozen globally.

    11. If a Libyan is unable to get employment after
    graduation the state would
pay the average salary of the profession as if he or
    she is employed until
    employment is found.

    12. A portion of Libyan oil sale is, credited directly to
    the bank accounts of all
    Libyan citizens.

    13. A mother who gave birth to a child receive US
    $5 ,000

    14. 40 loaves of bread in Libya costs $ 0.15

    15. 25% of Libyans have a university degree

    16. Gaddafi carried out the world’s largest irrigation
    project, known as the Great
Man-Made River project, to make water readily
    available throughout the desert
    country.
  2. +If a Libyan disagrees with Gadaffi he gets jailed without a trial, probably tortured, and probably killed

+If Libyans protest against Gaddafi, they get bombed by his airforce

I could go on for very long.
  3. No please, go on Olof...
  4. +An even larger amount of money goes into Gadaffi's bank account

+If a Gadaffi prison is attacked by rebels, Gadaffi's men will round up all the prisoners and commit a mass murder.

+If you are a Libyan, it doesn't matter in which country you live, Gaddafi's intelligence service will always be watching you

    +....

Wait a minute Kieran, I'm not the ranter, you are. I think all of us are pretty much aware of Gadaffi's brutal crimes against his own people.
  5. And where did the Libyan government get all that money.....
  6. It's all very disturbing this Gadaffi death. Good luck to the new free country that celebrates 'freedom' by placing an old mans body in a meat shop for folks to come look at. A morbid state funeral almost.

  7. Yes, we do. Yogi was just trying to point out that the world is NOT black and white. Gadafi was a great Occident' friend until 2010, then he became Satan. The same as happened with Saddam Hussein and Ossama Bin Laden in the 80s-90s... They were great friends with the USA and then they became personifications of the purest Evil. But Yogi was just pointing out that, while Gadafi was an absolute bastard and a mass murder for years, he did also good things for his country and some of his people. And the occidental countries always avoided to look on those horrible things until last year, when they decided to avoid looking at the good. Hypocresy.

  8. If a man runs after money, he's money-mad; if he keeps it, he's a capitalist; if he spends it, he's a playboy; if he doesn't get it, he's a ne'er-do-well; if he doesn't try to get it, he lacks ambition. If he gets it without working for it, he's a parasite; and if he accumulates it after a lifetime of hard work, people call him a fool who never got anything out of life. - Vic Oliver
  9. Well, I only have my opinion. I'm not the US government, or the Swedish government.

Every democratic system involving money works if there are assets, take a look at your country for what happens when there's no money.

I don't have to worry though. America will never become socialist.
