Yet where mocking Christains is seen as edgy, and cool, mocking Muslims is edgy, and intolerant.

  2. If people want to mock Christians and see that as "edgy and cool" but find doing the same intolerant for Muslims, then they have their heads up their asses for being hypocrites...this of course being the double standard you were mentioning. I agreed with you on that from the very start.

Yes, the BBC does treat Muslims with sensitivity. I did mention places like Palestine also suffer the double standard of both US and English media alike. The BBC downplays the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and openly shows support for Israel while the support behind Palestine is barely ever even broadcast. The way they broadcast the issue isn't anti-Islamic and done with sensitivity to Muslims. However, it is still insensitive to not openly support both the Palestinians and the Israelis. Not supporting both openly while trying to be an objective news organization also makes them [the BBC] just as guilty when it comes to the double standard.

Lets just agree to agree on certain points, and disagree on others.
  4. Love the double standard on here.
  5. I hope everything goes well with the Norwegian Hercules plane they think has gone down in the Swedish mountains. Big military exercise in Norway right now, 16,000 soldiers from 15 countries. The U.S. with the most soldiers. Other big participants are Sweden, the UK, Norway (obviously), France and Canada.
  6. I thought about creating a new topic to discuss the following subject, but I guess this Politics topic is the right one.

After some weeks and a huge repercussion, KONY still one of the most commented subjects here. A lot of criticism about the hole thing and the organization Invisible Children came in public, and now people are wondering if the intetion of the organiation is really good, or if they're doing this just to get attention and resourses for themselfs.

So, I'd like to know your opinion about the hole thing. What do you think about KONY and it's context inside Africa issue?
