1. No your alright Mac
At the end of the day,a person should get punnishment for their wrong choices however how a large punnishment but not death, but also forgiveness if the person has any heart in them.
We certainly dont know what or who pushes one to do such things, which is sometimes the case.
Not saying its an excuse to do wrong, but an excuse for forgiveness through punishment.
  2. all is said between Olof and me. All is well. I apologize for that smile, it was indeed inappropriate. Keep up your discussion, sorry for interfering

  3. Its a great day isn't it Congrats to you too Aaron, we don't agree on many things but I think you are a cool guy
  4. Just a little note: A person who rapes is not a Muslim. A person who kills innocent people is not a Muslim.
Islam is a very misunderstood religion, not just for non-muslims, but also for many "muslims". The quotations are there because if you have misunderstood the religion, you are not a follower of it, you are following your misunderstandings.
The logo on that site ("it's not islamophobia when they really are trying to kill you") is a great example of this misunderstanding.
  5. Very true
  6. I could mention so many things that are great about the immigration to Sweden, but sure there are problems, and I don't find that weird at all. Sweden must be such a different place for a lot of immigrants.

One of the greatest groups would be Iranians. You are generally well educated and driven to educate yourself more and work yourself up. You aren't satisfied with being the taxi driver like quite many seem to be. One percent of Sweden's population is Iranian, that is quite a bit when you think of it

    Thanks for that Olof
Yea, Sweden is one of the favorite destinations for young Iranian immigrants, mainly because people are immigrating to continue their University studies, and Sweden is a great place for that, specially cost-wise! And yep, we are definitely not satisfied with being the taxi driver, why immigrate if you are going to be a taxi driver

Anyway, I'm getting off topic here!!
What you are saying is true, your country is a great destination for us, even I am considering it for my PhD! But stuff like this and sites like that scare me. When I see many comments talking about showing your hate to ANY muslim man you see on the streets...that scares me. Do these people realize there is no difference between this and how racists act towards a certain race? No difference between this and how the Nazis acted about Jews?
  8. Most of those people probably just talk though. But sure, it is scary that it feels like some kind of world-wide conflict between the west and "the muslims" could be coming. (And be doom for mankind.) Hatred is on both sides. Humans have a natural instinct to be afraid of "different". But I'd say there's loads of understanding on both sides as well. You must realize that those people don't represent Sweden well at all.

Well, for many people being a taxi driver in Sweden is probably a fantastic option.
  9. If you come to Sweden I'd hope to meet you.

Of course they don't represent Sweden. Such radicals can be found in any country and religion, and this is my whole point: Do not judge a country/race/religion by looking at their radicals.
There is loads of understanding on both sides, I just hope it reaches enough people in time to stop something catastrophic.

(You're right about Taxi driving being a fantastic option for many, but Iranians don't see it like that. Iranians traditionally take pride in their education and job, it is very important for them, so if they go through the trouble of leaving their country and moving to some other country, they won't be satisfied with being a driver. and I'll look you up if I go there )
  11. And that's why you are great immigrants, you make good additions to the workforce and are not hard to integrate in our society like those that come with very little education. I'd say Swedes and Iranians may be quite similar.

I think humans make lousy judges for humans and death does not teach one who may have come from a deprived background any different, and people can change, imprisonment is fair enough.
I dont mind paying taxes to know that one is scarred for life for what they had done to somebodies love one, because the scars they created in ones mind has put them to death over and over again, which is worse than death,it like a dead man walking, which I have felt plenty a time.

What about the people who risk their lives guarding them in prison? My dad worked at a prison and watched 4 friends die because imprisonment is not enough. I have been to 2 funerals because imprisonment is not enough. You're saying that when someone is murdered, the murderer is scarred for life? Are you sure the murderer even cares? If they cared, many would not have committed the murder in the first place.....
