Anyway, just to let you know: I learnt how to read at 3½-4 years, and started writing at 4½. I wrote my first 180 words essay at 6 because a teacher doubted that I could do it. I was later diagnosed with advanced intellectual giftedness at 11 and got promoted one year (I didn't do my 5th primary year, and jumped from 4th to 6th).[..]

Wow. How were you able to write an essay at age 6?
You should post something like this in that U2 fans are smart topic, if you haven't already.

Congratulations. Do you feel special? I flunked the tenth grade, because I didn't care, and did so well when I repeated it, I skipped the 11th.
  3. I can play Heart and Soul on the piano!!!!
  4. Oh God... What kind of a topic is this anyway

I can't see why should I try to show off or take any advantage of it? Nah, really, gifted people usually stand out at young ages like 10, 14 years... but then, intelligence becomes less important, and behaviour, education and manners are what really matters - that's why you can hardly distinguish between a 90 and a 156 IQ. Moreover (apart from the foreign language, good point), written text is not always a good indicator. [joke]I don't think Aaron is actually stupid in real life, although one could easily tell it from his written posts.[/joke]

By the way, welcome back Lyndon. We thought you were logging through another account, glad to see you over here again

I used to, specially at 12-14 years... when everyone went out to play football, I stayed home reading and reading. And I used to behave soooo badly at school that my teachers actually hated me (that happens today too, ouch)... But yes, I was "The Weirdo" for a few years at school. Then came University, nobody knew me there, nobody knows I'm gifted, I'm like... normal That's why I love Uni, it represents the kind of integration and normal behaviour that I lacked for almost 15 years...

  7. I don't get it? Was it meant to be funny or did you actually think I was bobplaysthedrums - though why would you - it's some Brendan kid.

Nah, I was just bored with the lack of U2 news so haven't come here for a while.

And I will have to keep a look out to see if our child prodigy says anything smart.

That being said, some would argue that he couldn't be all that smart - otherwise he would have stopped himself from posting gems like:

STAIRSAY TO HEAVEN IS THE GREATEST SONG EVRT - NO MORE DISCUSSION ZLLOWED

  8. I've been smart enough to keep myself far of the alcoholic drinks for 18 years, far more than most of the people I know... Not, let me kill some of my cell brains ever now and then, will you? And no, I wasn't really saying you were logging through Bob's account, it's just that the past days' discussions lead some of us to think that you both were the same person (just because he shows a similar arguing style than you).

Ah - I thought it was something like that (or he was asking about beach clips) but I was looking at his recent posts and they aren't at all similar to what I would say (eg. he thinks Streets is the highlight of a show, he thinks that the music & intelligence study is worthless) and he doesn't even write like me. Any examples?
