No, I don't think that the study is worthless, I believe there is a correlation between intelligence and music, just like there is a correlation between obvious stuff like education and wealth.

Can you be wealthy and uneducated? yes, Can you be an idiot and like classical music? yes.

Doesn't mean that either premise are false

No, please explain - because it makes no sense, I did a look at his recent posts - he doesn't argue like me, write like me or even have the same views I do - where exactly is the similarity?

It's disrepectful to say that someone you don't even know just "couldn't be all that smart" and jokingly call me a "child prodigy". You don't really know what a person is truly like by reading their posts.

I didn't say anything about Led Zeppelin on this forum, I've seen that in-joke a few times around on this forum so it may had been said originally by someone here or on another forum or it could be one of those internet memes making fun of people that don't know about music. I've been listening to Led Zeppelin since I was 7, thank you very much.

Yeah, your definitely not like me - Apart from my first sentence, I was actually referring to Sergio not you

    However I like this:
..or it could be one of those internet memes making fun of people that don't know about music. I've been listening to Led Zeppelin since I was 7, thank you very much.

It's become an internet meme! Sergeio you should come on here drunk more often.

But you didn't say anything like that previously - so how your posts similar to mine?
  4. You both have similar approachs when it comes to understanding the purpose of arguing and specially the existance and validity of other people's opinions. Oh, and your stubborness is similar too. Anyway, it was a joke that some of us made regarding your absence of the forums PLUS your similarities - it wasn't serious.

  5. Definitely not. I don't drink that much at all, and in fact I have never been drunk in the sense of not knowing what I do or say, or not remembering things, etc. That Stairway topic was written by me while I was practically sober (well, maybe not "sober", but not "completely drunk" either, as one could think reading the opening post. It's just that I didnt correct my typing mistakes like I use to do), the fact is that it was too late and I couldn't see a lot, and typying in a small Nokia 5800 when you've been out all night isn't easy

Yes, I understand the concept of the joke - but where is the similarity? He seems a bit too polite to be me - his arguments seem to be on the completely opposite side to what I would say and his views are fairly predictable and mainstream.

I mean I would think of all the regulars here I'm more similar to Aaron (wtshnn), in that we're both stubborn and have controversial views - (but our actual views and everything else are quite different)

Either way, it's pretty funny how even non-regulars have picked up on it.
  7. If A is similar to B, and B is similar to C, then A is similar to C, isn't it?

    (Just to make it clearer: A=vanquish // B=wtshnnfb01// C=bobplaysthedrums)

By the way, I renamed the topic

Yes, I understand the concept but WHERE is the substance, direct me to what bobplaysthedrums has said that is similar to what I would say - just so I can go to sleep and not think i'm going crazy

  9. I just found that one post similar, not anything else.

  10. Yes, but you didn't say that until now so what are their basing the supposed similarity on?

  11. That's true. One being my favourite U2 song is as predictable and mainstream as it gets.
  12. I previously said that this post is very similar to what I might say.
