1. We agree for once.
  2. The US needs less biased news. It does so badly. Here is where public service can play a important role, like it does in Sweden. Not saying it's a complete guarantee, but for example today's show about the US election felt pretty damn unbiased. Letting both sides speak, the host and the show itself not casting judgement. Maybe it could've been a hit in the US.

As a current student, I will keep my 'stufi' and I won't get a 'long studying bill'. In fact, if the amount of students decreases, my salary may increase later on. Moreover, none of my tax will go to students later on.

Then the 'zorgpremie': as I am not making more than 20.000 euros a year, I will only have to pay 255 euros. I do understand why the rich VVD voters do oppose against the bill.

Finally, I believe the 'hypotheekrenteaftrek' will stay the same if you do not make more than 70.000 a year and even then you will only pay half of a percent more. No problem.

It is a good thing the government spends less money. It makes sure I will get my AOW later om.

Well I am also lucky because I wont lose my stufi. But it doesnt make it fair to new students.

Also the CBP has confirmed that our AOW (pension) might end up 20 % lower than current standards. Also some people have 30% less to spend every month.

Dont see why we need to save 17 bln the hard way while we sent 40 bln in a nice package to Greece. And we will do it again, since rumor has it that a new package will be on its way.

Greece will keep getting nice packages for ages because no one would admit that financially EU is falling apart. Not just EU but whole western world. Everybody is in debt and it's impossible to reduce it because we're going from one crisis to another. The way I see it, the system doesn't work.

No, I'm wrong. Certain people gain from crisis and as long as that happens, crisis we experience in last few years will never end. System does work, just not the way it should be and not the way it should work - for ordinary people.
  5. The system works as long as we believe it works. If we all demand our money right now, banks will only be able to pay 20% of it.

In Holland something like that happened when an economic 'specialist' told DSB Bank wasn't solid anymore on television. Everyone wanted their money, making the bank collapse.

Yes, we should most definantly go with the guys who run with every dubious statement, made by every obscure conservative, while giving the left a pass.

    Who watches the watchmen?
  7. If I think something on public service is partial I can report that.
  8. Today in the national news it was published that Apple only pays 1.9 % taxes due to their 'Double Irish with a Dutch Sandwich' strategy. Based on public records, Romney also tunnels his coorporation's money through our mountainless country. With u2 they are of course in good company

Well the system is corrupt, but so far no better system is found. We have to do with what we have.

  11. Imho Bruce should keep a distance to the elections. All these supporting acts turn it into an even bigger circus than it is.
