  1. You guys realize if America had a popular vote as number of you said you would prefer, Romney would have won for sure.
  2. In any case, I had no intention of dwelling on this election regardless of who won or lost. I have my own life to live Living well is the best revenge.

  3. Many issues that the Republicans would try and sort out but the end up making a hash of - leading to more problems.
  4. Don't think so on the popular vote Aaron. That election would also be totally different, probably with more people feeling that their votes matter. People who're for the opposing party in safe states maybe.

  6. Doesn't matter who wins. But from what I see Obama had a higher popular vote anyway, and what Olof said is very true.
    When a state has, say 10 electoral points, whether Obama Wins 10-8 or 1million - 800,000, it means 10 points for him. But if it is a popular vote system every vote will count and there'll be a bigger turnout, different results.

    This country has more wealth than any nation... But that's not what makes us rich.
    We have the most powerful military in history but that's not what makes us strong.
    Our university, our culture... are all the envy in the world, but... that's not what keeps the world coming to our shores.
    What makes America exceptional are the bonds that hold together the most diverse nation on Earth. The belief that our destiny is shared, that this country only works when we accept certain obligations to one another and to future generations, so that the freedom for which so many Americans have fought for and died fore comes with responsabilities as well as rights and among those are love, and charity, and duty, and patriotism. That's what makes America great!
