That one is getting delayed, delayed and delayed. While the prices go up, up and up. I really should learn that trick, delivering nothing, raising the prices. Might come handy in the future. We really should've bought the Saab, the Eurofighter or invest in cheaper Russian technology

And of course the oposition is opposed to everything the government does, its like a soap. Unfortunately a soap that will never have its series finale

JSF is a lost cause. Should have just replaced the old F-16s with the new Block 60 version.
  2. Yeah, no sense having top of the notch stuff anyway for a country like Holland. In the unimaginable chance war breaks out in West-Europe we dont have a chance anyway.

And it doesnt really matter if you attack men with beards far from home using the JSF or a crappy F16s.
  3. If your country ever did have to go to war, you'ed probally have America backing you.

Also, didn't one of your countrys F-16s bag a Mig well patroling the no fly zone in the Balkans back in the 90s?
  4. You dont know which country USA would back then, but it doesnt really matter. Germans are quite friendly. Which only proves that it has no use to have all those state of the art jets.

Quite possible, Hollands F16's have been chartered everywhere over the planet Quite possible they shot down a MiG-29. Also nice jets btw. War is ugly, but the technology war is amazing.

  5. Why do you care about Israelian or Palestinian domestic issues, then?

Countries are not separate rooms in a big hourse. Thye're more like different chairs at the same table

It's how capitalism works. Invent money that doesn't exist and then loan it to somebody to get that somebody in even greater shit. : )) I think of financial system that we have now and I just don't get it. Everybody is loaning money and yet everybody is in debt.

  7. Great thing of it is that we can buy real stuff with a piece of paper.

There is not really another way, unless you want to go back trading 1st priority resources (cows, goats, camels). All other stuff (even gold) is just as much worth as people give to it.

In that way paper isnt a worser choice than for example gold.

I completely agree, I don't see alternative to the money, because money is alternative. But the thing is, these days there's no value behind the money because we left behind the gold standard.

Fifty years ago you culd buy a car for about 800$ and today you can buy...bicycle.
  9. True, but relatively cars became cheaper Very little people could afford cars back then.

Now their are new cars for 8000 euro's en bicycles for not much more than 120 euro's. And Holland is not the cheapest country.
