  2. Reagan is probably the president that had the easiest race. His opponent, Carter, was disliked by the American people because of his Afghan policy.

    Let me give you three examples of moderate parties that won recent Dutch elections:
    2002-2010: Center party CDA is reigning during polarisation
    2010: Right-wing VVD becomes the biggest party for the first time in history because of the most socialistic approach ever
    2012: Left-wing PvdA scored 15 seats in the polls and two weeks later 40 seats on Election Day after party leader Samson moves to the center, beating the extreme socialistic SP (who fell from 30 to 15 seats in two weeks). Our parliament has 150 seats.

    The problem is that you don't see the problem. When we try to take a neutral viewpoint and argue how the Republicans might win the next elections, the first thing you do is defend the Republicans. You act like Romney's team ran a perfect race which is obviously not the case.

    There is no such thing as a perfect race.

    No one cared about Carter's Afghan policy. It was Iran that killed him.


    And there is a very big diffrence is political culture between my country and yours.

  6. You said Hillary had her chance, but the party went with Obama. Reagan lost in 1976 the pre-elections, but won all states but six plus DC in the 1980 presidental elections. Losing a pre-election doesn't mean you are lost.

    Reagan wasen't screwed over by his party, and the medias love afair.

  10. Hillary wasn't either. She is in the Obama cabinet for a reason.

  11. Shes in his cabinet because he needed Bill to campaign for him.


    Also shes leaving, for the second term.
