To apply your father's experience - and I would have no trouble remembering why someone tried to kill my father, but there you go - to everyone in regard to joining a union is just ridiculous. The entire union tried to kill him, eh? Not a few people, or a couple of people - the entirety of the union and its membership? Utter nonsense. By your reasoning, if you were mugged by a black man, you'd hold all black people responsible, now and forever. Aaron, I and everyone else on this website, know plenty about you or, at least, the persona you adopt while on this site. Endlessly aggressive and combative, unable to approach any subject from more than one direction. If I know nothing about you, then, what makes it possible for you to think that you know me well enough to call me an elitist pig? What makes me one?

And having good health insurance is the reward for making good choices in life. At this time, I feel I don't deserve it, as I have done nothing to earn that right.

Wow. What a remarkably fascistic statement. Nobody who has made bad choices deserves decent health insurance? Lovely sentiment, Aaron.

It was American sociologist Robert Merton who said that people who cannot reach their life goals the legal way will eventually do it the illegal way.

If you had a quick look at the pdf I presented you, you would have found a graph showing a correlation between low incomes and homicides. As far as I know unions make incomes higher. See where I am going?

They make incomes higher for a select few. Overall employment rates suffer.

Like I said, I will stop treating them like thugs when they stop acting like thugs.

You need proof first before you can mention that those liberals said that.

  5. Sorry you can't believe your people would say such things, but the sad thing is they are hateful people who believe in free speech only when it appllys to them

Well I consider myself a liberal and I never talk like that and I'm not "hateful"...not even on the internet where I can be anonymous if needed. So don't generalize.
  7. Yep, its only fine to generalize about conservatives.
  8. Dont see Ali generalizing anywhere.

Point is that it is very easy to put labels like conservatist, socialist, marxist, liberal on people. But it is very shortsighted as well. Life is not so clean that everything fits in a box. Imho those labels are only used to divide people.

You make that sound like that's a bad thing. Were not all the same, and anyone who says otherwise is a fool
