  2. As a conservative, I can safely say, that I (and a number of other conservatives I know) find it hilarious, when libs refer to us as nazis/facist/etcetra. Coincidently the way they flip out when we call them commies, is hilarious.
  3. On a more humorous note, more than 30,000 people petitioned on the white house web page for the US to create a Death Star, ala Star Wars

    The Administration shares your desire for job creation and a strong national defense, but a Death Star isn't on the horizon. Here are a few reasons:

    - The construction of the Death Star has been estimated to cost more than $850,000,000,000,000,000. We're working hard to reduce the deficit, not expand it.

    - The Administration does not support blowing up planets.

    - Why would we spend countless taxpayer dollars on a Death Star with a fundamental flaw that can be exploited by a one-man starship?

  4. I'm sure those in the Government Office had fun thinking up that one on a Friday afternoon, especially regarding the estimated cost and the (only?) fundamental flaw.

  5. Unfortunately, the human species will not be able to cover such a cost. Most countries shall be willing to help, but 'not in their backyard'. That said, the large space rock mentioned in that article will be able to destroy us, even if a Death Star could stop it.
  8. Generalisations are USA's biggest enemy, the two party system will always create a wedge between the two.

    It is always easy to blame the other, instead of trying to solve the problem. It is ridiculous that a 'democratic' country is unable to really come together and agree on anything.

    They are always just busy undoing others actions. Like the ban on automatic weapons, which is just undoing actions by Bush.

  11. New Jersey decided to only use union labor to rebuild after Hurricane Sandy. How dumb is that? Should that not be an all hands on deck project? At some point the left decided the value of a worker is based around whether or not they pay union dues.

    It may be a fact, but the danger with induction, as Fabian said is that its not valid reasoning. You could find dozens of other correlations.

    Maybe the 5 shooters despised pancakes. Its just as invalid to say that if you shoot, you despice pancakes. And even more invalid to say that if you despice pancakes, you shoot.
