I didn't mean just hate crimes - many minorities are victims of hate crime. I'm referring to immigration and blending in becoming more difficult. Imagine you're a poor Muslim descendant in the middle east, trying to immigrate to the west...not because of better weather, but because you can not live in your home country any more due to the oppression, difficult economy etc. and you want to have a shot at a happy life...

A general view of Muslim = Terrorist will reduce your chances significantly.
